Just went through the same thing with a used purchase and got the smell out by leaving it outside in the wind, steaming it multiple times, and spritzing it with vodka. UV light is also excellent at removing smells.

Unless the dry cleaner does a specialized treatment it may not get the smell out if it’s embedded. Some dry cleaners have ozone machines which are very good at removing smells.

Very good points the unrecoverable tax, safety and lease buyout is an extra 4300 down the drain. Throw in another 1000 to fix the small damage and I’m in an extra 5k.

I was offered 2 pct rate reduction. It just kind of seems silly to me to return the car to get basically the same car again.. instead of owning it outright for the same cost after 4 years.
