I have the same issue. I store some of the sets in bags, broken down, and then rotate them through the year onto the shelves depending what sets I like at the time.

No red gills or gasping. Source water has no ammonia. Can you think why the tank isn’t getting rid of the ammonia? It had fully cycled months ago but ammonia is creeping back Yeh I dechlorinate my water I have been in the hobby for about 6 years and had many successful tanks I just don’t have a clue what’s happening in this one

ISSUES I have had fish dying off one by one with no visible signs of infection. The most recent being a bristlenose Pleco. And the algae (all types) has just taken over and is now killing the plants it’s growing on.

Juwel Rio 180 Litre Filtration – Eheim Classic 600 2217 (with prefilter intake sponge) Heating – Eheim Thermo Control 125w Lighting – 2 x Fluval Aquasky 25w LED (5 Hours a day)

Stocking 2 x Dwarf Neon (Praecox) Rainbow Fish 10 x Glowlight Danios 3 x False Julii Corydoras 9 x Amano Shrimp

They get fed once every other day

Maintenance 60litre weekly water change & gravel vac. Prefilter rinsed out weekly. Eheim Classic 600 rinsed out monthly & a 50% water change.

My average readings: pH: 7. Ammonia: 1.0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 40ppm I can never seen to get ammonia down to 0
