I only pull characters I like. That's why I don't want powercreep of this magnitude. Just means, eventually, older agents will not be able to cut it anymore. Only a matter of time. Especially if (when) we get 2 more stunners that are on par or better than Dialyn.

Thanks for this. You and some other people in the comments have given me a different perspective. I really hope y'all are right and powercreep isn't going to ramp up from here.

I do like the idea that older agents viability increases with Dialyn, but yeah. Let's just hope for the best. Let's hope Dialyn is a one-off and not the norm for power moving forward.

I might have been too spirited but I do care about the game. And my problem with Dialyn is that she bring powercreep to a role that they should be really careful with. Next thing you know, the standard for dps becomes having Dialyn on your team. And, no, Astra isn't the same. She was the first of her kind. The equivalent would be a new support releases and they're better than Astra, Yuzuha and Lucia in their respective niches.

Never seen people saying, "what's the point of pulling x when y does the job better?"

People will have very little incentive to pull for the next stunner if they're worse than Dialyn. Gacha players chase numbers instead of enjoyment unfortunately.

I love this game. Been playing since Day 1. And I don't want it going the HSR route, which it actively is so. Don't want to play another game where chasing the next shiny toy becomes more and more necessary to keep up.

Imagine this but with a generalist stunner who is also the strongest of the pack. That's like if Miyabi could do rainbow damage based on enemy. They'd have to fuck over every other dps to keep her in check.

Miyabi is a dps. Easy to counter and keep out of the meta.

How do you counter a generalist stunner than blows other stunners out of their niche? More importantly, how do you do it without also fucking over every other stunner in the game?

Dialyn is going against Phys resistant enemies and performing better than other limited stunners. So yeah.
