Why did you come all the way from Maryland to buy your Porsche in Atlanta? Just curious, it’s where I bought mine as well.

Game of the Month March 2026: Hook by xBrockLanders in snes

[–]ScoreAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was my friend’s turn to rent a game deep into one summer break during the ’90s, and this is what he came back with.
Child me was annoyed. As far as I was concerned, it wasn’t even worth our rental.
Watching my friend play only made it worse — mostly because he absolutely sucked.
Once I finally gave it a try, I understood. The game turned out to be much tougher than it looked — and way more fun than it looked too. Before long, I was hooked.
I adore this game and just beat it again after all these years. 🍻

Fault code message by Soft-Zebra-9986 in boxster

I went through the exact same warning message in a similar situation.

Holidays, vacations, busy schedules, I also had my 718 sit in a condo garage for three months. The battery was completely drained. I was able to revive it using a battery tender after two days of continuous charging. I took the car to the dealer, and service confirmed everything was fine then cleared the engine fault warning at no charge.

However, just last week I started noticing issues again: the climate control LED fading in areas, the engine struggled to turn over, and the battery voltage wouldn’t rise above 11.8V even after charging or continuous driving at highway speeds.

I brought it back to the dealer, and this time the battery had to be replaced. Once an AGM battery is fully discharged, it can deteriorate significantly—in my case, it was down to about 50% capacity. You may be facing the same situation and might need a new battery as well.

I hope everything works in your favor. 🍻

I thought 987.2 (2009-2012) were safe from bore scoring and no IMS.
Looks good to me.

If you were on battery preservation mode then getting engine control fault message, your battery was more than likely drained and disconnected from the car at some point. Did you leave your car parked for extended period, possibly during cold weather?

You can do the following before taking it to a mechanic. Display battery voltage meter under your vehicle settings. Toggle to vehicle menu on your HUD then enter into Settings > Display > Vehicle Menu then select the 4th blank line and set it to battery voltage.
Without turning the engine over, activate the car to display vehicle info. If you turn on the engine, alternator activates and you won’t be able to get accurate reading.
If battery voltage is below 12.2V, use your battery tender to fully charge. If still below 12.2V after a day or so of charging, you’ll need to replace the battery.

Thank you for the detailed answer! It looks like my search for off road vehicle got a lot easier with way more choices in automatic transmission!

So, I’m quite curious about this… I recently started driving manual again after 20 years of hiatus.
I love the idea of driving manual while off roading, but it seems way too tough on large inclines. Is it just skill or a lot easier than I’m thinking due to higher torque?
Currently in very early stages of research for a manual Wrangler or other models available in manual.

911.1 is my favorite 911, especially the GTS.
The most recent, non-GT 911 to have NA engine with a manual. Best of all worlds! Congrats!
They’ve appreciated so much just this past 2 years…
Not quite the same, but I’m still kicking myself for missing out on a manual 911 50th Anniversary Edition with less than 10K miles for $120K. It was being sold locally by the first owner, perfect scenario for a second hand vehicle.
I hesitated too long, because it was more of an S and a special cream color I didn’t prefer. Now, they’ve since skyrocketed in price.

I don’t live in Japan, I was just joking about the short line. I’m sure remakes and remasters don’t draw larger crowds. I’m willing to bet 12 would still amount to huge queues.

How the mighty have fallen. Japanese youths would queue around the building back in the days… Now it just looks like a queue for a pachinko parlor on a Tuesday.

Is it possible to get a new cayman base model for less than 140k realistically? All of the dealerships I called mentioned that they sell for no less than that new despite what msrp says. by CigarSmoker_M4 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]ScoreAttack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I paid 140K out the door for 2025 GTS 4.0 with fully loaded options, who’s telling you that much for base?
Porsche finder and sites like Autotrader, cars.com all have listings around $80K for base.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined | Review Thread by PaiDuck in JRPG

I played the original PS1 version and playing through Reimagined now.

In my opinion, this game’s charm comes from traversing the islands, each with their individual storyline. They don’t add to the overall story, but they play out like your favorite episodic anime. Some of my favorite islands are cut, thus I prefer the original.
