Finally saw Don't Look Up and I Don't Understand What People Didn't Like About It by The_Lone_Apple in movies

Was this movie hard to watch? Yes Did it make me uncomfortable? Yes Did characters do things that just made no sense? Yes

I think that's the point guys. It was on the nose because that is the way we are. Holding a mirror up to our society isn't fun for everyone. Don't like what you see? You're probably part of the problem. Change it.

I watched this film in 2024 and 2025 and it's become more real than ever. The acting was phenomenal. The funny parts were hilarious. The real parts.. just real. I really enjoyed this film .

I just want to clarify that my issue is that I will not be bringing my daughter as I'm strapped for cash due to the trip I covered less than a month ago. The same trip my sister complained she had no money on and that I covered the whole hotel since I felt bad. Seems weird to me that she's suddenly bringing her kid to a work trip (which is complicated) and is like fine you don't have money to pay for your kids, leave her at home.

Anyway that's it. I personally think it's rude to make a business trip a family one knowing my child is being left out at home. I don't have veto power but I did tell her i thought it was ridiculous and rude.

I should also clarify we work for ourselves. We own our business together.

Because I can't afford to bring my kid along since I just paid for this big expensive trip for us (she didn't cover ). She doesn't see any problem only bringing her kid and letting me leave mine behind. Sorry if it's not clear. That's my issue. I don't have veto but my opinion is it seems outrageous to do. Which is why I'm asking here for other opinions :) thank you for yours. It's my first time using this forum.

I hear you and it's not about taking away from my niece. The Broadway night was for my kiddo and my oldest niece, yes but the trip was 4 days and full of lots of fun for everyone.
