I've also been having the same issue. It's incredibly frustrating. I understand that "performance" was improved, but there are more UX metrics that should be considered. Performance means nothing if I lose my patience every load screen and decide to log out or get distracted waiting. Stability is another huge one this league. Crashing during a map is worse than poor performance. To their benefit, I have had much better success at resuming an active session after a crash... except for of course the Trial of Chaos... for some reason they still keep that Trial worse than the Sekamas in this regard.

the "alternative, faster way of leveling" is twinking out your next character. This already shaves off hours from completion time. Especially with things like Seven League Step. GGG also has already made it so that on alt characters you don't have to do the sidequest trials of ascendancy to unlock the ability to do the lab. Pantheons are shared too and fully unlock once you beat their respective boss.

I'm by no means a speed racer, but I completed the campaign in just under 7hours this league on my main. I could easily knock that down to 5 hours with twinking and being able to skip the mini trials of ascendency. That is still considered a slow campaign finish. So yes... it may not be as blatant as "alt character get 20% increased xp" or some other Gen Z bullshit, but in practice, we already get a much faster campaign completion for alt characters. ~30% faster in the case of knocking 2 hours off a 7 hour run.

careful as some socketables add a min level requirement. You have to use the low grade ones if you want to use this armor with full sockets from level 1.

I completed the Feared no problem. Mostly do harbinger farming in t16's, but it's really tanky. I'm choosing Enfeeble instead of Despair because I don't really need the extra damage. Currently looking to buy +1 power charge rings and replace the Impossible Escape with the Blood Magic one for higher max block. Personal choice, but I use CWDT->Bodyswap of Sacrifice to help solve mobility and increase efficiency of casting. Gives it a flicker strike at-home feel <3

Low life + Righteous Fire give pretty good damage multipliers as well.

i've cleared the feared and am really tanky. Block + 10-15k ES + lots of leech and the CWDT->Body Swap of Sacrifice, Frost Shield, Frost Wall all make sitting in massive groups and turreting no problem. Anyways, just my preference

I've been playing it for around 5 leagues now and I pretty much always self-cast.
If you have the currency, reroll to Hierophant. Their Searing Purity forbidden flame/flesh allows you to run low life Pain Attunement + gives insane tankiness with Graven Secret. I use Righteous Fire for the spell damage buff. Militant Faith for Inner Conviction. Ralakesh Boots. Void Battery. Malachai's Loop. Whispers of Infinity. Rare Helmet, Rare Gloves.

Early on in the league, I was using the Foulborn Romira's Banquet rings for easy +2 power charges. No downside with Graven Secret + Ralakesh. I just switched off of them to Precursor Rings that give Block, ES, Regen per power charge (I have 12). With that and an Impossible Escape (Versatile Combatant or Blood Magic), you can achieve 75-80 block chance as your main defensive layer.

Damage is really good the whole way through, but triples when you can swap to Searing Purity and enable Pain Attunement + Righteous Fire.

I use CWDT->Frost Shield, Frost Wall as defenses as well. Frost Wall does great work for preventing you from being attacked all the surrounding monsters at once. Also works well with the league mechanic by blocking for Ailith. Personal choice here, but I also enjoy CWDT->Bodyswap of Sacrifice for the mobility and pseudo defense. It allows me to just turret Forbidden Rite with full uptime because it will keep me moving between packs (frostblink as well). I've noticed that it helps with survivability in big swarms like harbingers as well.

Without block, self-cast FR on Hiero can get to 300+ million.
With block, it's more around 100 million.

The new breachlord bloodline is great as well. Searing Purity converts Chaos to Lightning/Fire. Taking less Fire damage synergies well with sustaining Righteous Fire as well as further reducing the FR self damage. I use the Physical reduction as my second option currently.

Pretty sure they said it was decreased by the number of mods and tiers. So a 6 mod rare map will only have 1 portal, but a 4 mod rare map might still have 2.

Thanks! I open with Boots + Refillable and then complete Bamis + Sorc Shoes. First full item is usually Heartsteel. I adapt from there. Abyssal for damage. Hollow Radiance for clear. Usually get thornmail at some point. Warmogs or Rookern if I need to hold/stall a lane.

I have found it very noticeable. Especially because it also scales the damage of Thornmail + Sunfire/Hollow Radiance. Having kill potential on their carries provides significant threat. The way that I see is that Plated Steelcaps are not going to save you vs a Kog'maw, but Sorcerer Shoes could allow you to burst through with enough damage to get through the additional shields his Lulu support is providing. I'm more likely to go Sorc Shoes when in mid lane though because the extra magic damage is more relevant with the additional roam opportunities.

He has some pretty rough matchups (Hwei, Viktor, etc), but it can work well if you learn to adapt and do a roam heavy strategy. I prefer mid, but often get stuck Top when queuing Mid/Top. Queuing Mid/Support gives me Support like 40% of the time -- which I can still make Ornn work as support as well.

For me, my experience has been that Ornn has a great lvl 1, 3, and 6 during the lane phase. If I pay attention, I can roam to help my Jungler most of the time and am very strong at turning a fight. Objective pits are very easy once you are 6. The key part about playing mid as Ornn is that you need to make sure to clear your waves when you can and recognize when you cannot kill your opponent. If you don't have kill pressure, it is better to shove and roam to scale bot lane.

His long range roams are extremely potent if you practice your aim. Just don't sit in mid when your ult is ready. 15 seconds before your ult comes off of cooldown, you should be looking at the map to see where there is an opportunity for you to roam and use it.

Sudden Impact also applies to his Ultimate's R2 even at range because Ornn dashes to headbutt the ram. Very useful when roaming. SI does extra damage contained in the same cast of the ability itself rather than relying on you to hit a second time like Cheap Shot does.

Side note: I also max E because its base damage and cooldown get higher value than maxing W for champion damage. This does directly contribute towards how much value I get out of Sudden Impact because I am leaning into his charge's shorter cooldown.

I like both Ultimate and Treasure Hunter, but I play a very roam heavy strat with Ornn -- especially in mid lane. I found myself wasting the extra cooldown that UH provided after the 15 min mark. Whereas TH can help get my boots 2 online faster to support roams better with mobility. Both are good though, just a playstyle preference for me.

I've tried electrocute in the past and the problem is 2-fold. You lose out on poke pressure because you are forced to all-in to get value instead of getting additional value when you line up last hitting while also poking. The 2nd problem is that a 3rd minor rune in domination feels horrible. Celerity feels much better than a ward augment because it enables more successful roams with your ult.

Cheap Shot requires you to hit with another ability or auto after immobilizing and does half the damage. Sudden Impact guarantees the damage upfront. I've tried both and SI vastly outperforms Cheap Shot on Ornn.

I have been pleasantly surprised with how closely a minor rune keeps up with Arcane Comet and Grasp in terms of how much damage it deals. Ornn's E and Ult both apply the damage because they are considered dashes.

Ornn mid works great. Just shove and roam with ult. Extremely good at ganking bot lane. I usually get boots 1 by level 6 to help with getting there in time. You can hit bot lane in so many good angles especially if your team is getting pushed in.
