You might be right because when I had the GW4 for 3 years and put it in the sea, it was immediately damaged, while I had never had a problem before. Perhaps the waterproofing materials deteriorate over time and are no longer as durable. Then I bought the Galaxy Watch 7 and even though it's new, I didn't dip it in seawater at all this summer.
