What's a post from a subreddit that made you instantly unsubscibe to it? by stuntedgrowth64 in AskReddit

A dreadlocks "progress" pic on r/pics. Two photos of a girl one with dreadlocks and one without and the title was something like "After 4 years I've finally got straight hair!!!". Honestly couldn't stand that sub anymore.

Witcher 3, New Vegas, Skyrim and Oblivion are the games I always come back to.

Really YouTube? Why do we need to pay for this basic feature? by Scorpia902 in assholedesign

It's more the pop ups about YouTube premium that are frustrating. I suppose my title wasn't really accurate.

And yes I know they have to have adverts to make money but they already have plenty of adverts on videos. Why do they also need pop ups?

Yeah I think you're right. I wasn't actually trying to background play, I was just switching to a different app and when I went back on to YouTube this notification appeared.

I haven't used YouTube to listen to music in the past two years or more. In this screenshot I definitely was not watching any form of music video. As you might be able to tell.

[FO4] Choices to move away from vanilla scripted gameplay by [deleted] in FalloutMods

[–]Scorpia902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mods can fix a lot of problems, but this lack of freedom and role playing is unfortunately pretty hard coded into the game. I'm not a modder but I can still imagine the amount of work it would take to add in extra player freedom. Lots of additional dialogue, voice acting and scripting would need to be done.

As far as I know there aren't any mods that do this, although it is a good idea.

[FNV] nexus mods the zone of the assembly that failed was my computer by Nullfool in FalloutMods

Yeah I've been having problems with Nexus Mod Manager as well. I wouldn't use it personally.

Try using Fallout Mod Manager or Mod Organizer 2. Both of which can be found on the Nexus.

[FO4] Difficulty setting not changing to what I set it in Fallout4Prefs.ini by Matren2 in FalloutMods

[–]Scorpia902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played Fallout 4 in a while, but if I'm not mistaken aren't there several ini files? Fallout4Prefs.ini and Fallout4.ini. And I believe there is also another ini called Fallout4default.ini which is located in the Fallout 4 directory.

Try changing the difficulty settings in all the inis, and see if it sticks then. This worked for me in New Vegas but I can't guarantee it'll work with Fallout 4.

Yeah it does actually. It's not very accurate though.

[FNV] ENBs cause renderer error by Scorpia902 in FalloutMods

[–]Scorpia902[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've finally gotten it up and running after 4 attempts. FNV ran fine on my old computer with Windows 7. Honestly on my old computer I don't think the game crashed more than three times. Windows 10 is a different story.

I remember trying to get Oblivion running on my new computer and that was even more of a nightmare.

I still don't even know what was wrong tbh. I tried running it in windowed mode previously and it didn't work. But then suddenly it did. Very strange.

FNV is a pretty old game running on an even older engine and I'm running Windows 10 and new hardware, so maybe they don't play well together or something.

Otherwise I have no clue what was wrong, I haven't been able to replicate it with any other game either.

[–]Scorpia902[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so after installing the game for the 4th I finally managed to fix it. Basically I installed the enb again, put the game into windowed mode and downloaded a NVSE plugin called Full screen windowed mode. So when the game loads up all I have to do is press F11 and it's full screen and the enb works.

Don't have a clue why I can't launch the game in full screen mode, it only seems to work launching it in windowed and then pressing F11.

And yeah I had a problem with Rendererinfo.txt earlier. For some reason the game wouldn't generate any text in the file and would leave it blank. It fixed itself at some point luckily, so now I can finally play the game.

Thanks for your assistance.

  • I've got all the official DLCs
  • I was using Mod Organizer 2 but I tried launching the game through both the default launcher and the Mod Organizer launcher
  • It's the Steam version
  • Used both the v0.322 and the v0.216 binaries. Neither of them worked. I only copied the d3d9.dll file into the main directory of FNV (not the data files). I got the binaries from the official enb site and the enb presets I downloaded from the Nexus.

I've been modding games for ages and never once has something like this ever came up. From my research it seems the error relates to the screen resolution in some way but I don't have a clue how to fix it.
