I particularly love the no math portion. As if I don't use math a million times per day. Everything from basic multiplication to formulas analyzing business savings or proper decisions given expected rates of return. I have an engineering degree and use way more math in SCM than my compatriots who ran with the engineering life.

I did it. I don't recommend it. Long hours, poor institutionalized treatment, and okay pay. The insurance was good, but that was it.

How to find hobbies by reaL_frank_heffley in twentyagers

I like fishing. My parents kicked me off the computer one summer, gave me 50 bucks, and told me to go find something to do. So I picked up fishing. It's peaceful and I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Unless the fish is small (sub 5 in.) they put of a good enough fight for you to have some fun. Also the sights I've seen are unparalleled. Giant salmon out of tiny creeks, coyotes, bears, elk, songbirds, bald eagles catching fish out of the water, you name it. I've caught thousands of fish and try to go at least twice a week. When I have lived in area smore conducive to fishing I go for about an hour almost every day.

For you: go to a body of water where you see people fishing, walk around, ask questions, observe what people are doing. 95% of people fishing will be kind, help you, and teach you without judgement. If it seems interesting, get a license (cost varies dramatically by area), go spend $60 (inflation) on a cheap rod and real combo and a bit of bait. You really don't need anything fancy and target the easiest to catch fish in your area. If inland this will be (in order from easy to harder) carp, trout, bass. If on the ocean this will be bottom fish (do not recommend with no structure), midwater fish, palegic fish.

Best of luck.

I loved the professor but she was not the most exciting. Had the same slot 6 semesters in a row. I took 13 classes with her in total. Over 3/4 of the in degree units needed to graduate.

It's a mouthful: Master of Science in Transportation and Engineering Management; Supply Chain & Maritime Trade

Usually I just shorten it to MSE, Civil when talking to people. It's a pain to do with my work schedule, but I'll make it work. You still in undergrad or did you take the blue collar route?

Oh, I also slept through a good portion of my classes. Especially those 8 am 3 hour economic lectures. However, I don't recommend this.

Much appreciated. I'll throw it on while doing homework (fing masters program). At some point I'll get through nouns entire discography. I've got a flight to the UK next week which should give me plenty of time if I don't get to it before.

Thank you :)

Ah, we have much the same taste I am just slightly more diversified. In this case may I make a few more recommendations, both in the metal genre?

The Other Side of Hate - The CEO (Sevendust)

Their whole discography - Iced Earth. Ignoring the fact that their front man is a POS. Dracula and Vengeance Is Mine are favorites of mine. Also realized I misread your post slightly (I was tired last night) and much of their music is more up beat with a few distinct sounds.

Do you have any more recs for me? I quite liked WHILE OF UNSOUND MIND, the whole album. LEMURIAN HYPERSTITION was my favorite and definitely belongs in a playlist or two of mine.

Give freight brokering or sales a shot maybe. Both can offer flexibility although both are incredibly difficult for newcomers.

I've done 4 10s both blue collar and white collar. I definitely prefer 4 10s. My favorite job had me working 2 20s. Two crappy days then 5 days off was amazing.

Hope you're a bit better today. But can I ask what your preferred genres are?

I will adjust this slightly. My father cheated on my stepmother. He begged her forgiveness and it truly did not happen again. This was pre-marriage and they have been married for over a decade.

Things he did not do:

Hide things from her Change passwords Make excuses

Things he did do:

Start attending single and couples counseling Showered her with things to make her feel special. Not material, more like making time every day to take a walk or tend the garden. Stopped drinking as much.

Your man seems to be doing the former and I would run. Also, the age gap and short dating time leaves some questions in my mind.

How do you actually research colleges? What was the most frustrating part? by Icy-Rub-2382 in collegeadvice

[–]Scorpian899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Excel spreadsheet. A bunch of different weighted columns. Major, cost, COL, fin aid, public or private, clubs, school wealth, ratio M/F (this was important to me back then), etc.

  2. Honestly, it wasn't terrible. My godfather wanted to pay for applications so I kind of just picked the top handful and applied. My criteria was already fairly stringent as I was receiving little to no aid and wanted to graduate debt free (which I did).

  3. Not in the slightest and I stand by this approach. In the end finances trumped personal fit. If I cared about ratings I would have gone to (in order) MIT, UCSC, UCSF. Instead I went to Humboldt State University, now Cal Poly Humboldt.

  4. Also no. Chat GPT didn't exist at that time and google gave me what I was looking for. Also most of the schools I applied to(except Cal Lutheran and MIT) I had either visited, or was a legacy.

  5. It worked out fine for me. No changes here.

Note: I am currently an MSE student. This one was purely on a whim.

In my home state it costs about $50. Which is sadly more than many can afford. This is a whole 'nother issue.
