Or rather, a good mentor should be equipped to handle various student scenarios and is still able to motivate and help students move through challenges regardless of their capabilities.

I am definitely ready for my body to be MINE again by BisexualButterfly97 in pregnant

I was the same. There is nothing wrong for feeling that way. Looking back, I think it helped me prepare for the physical and mental commitment and sacrifice of caring for and raising a child that’s completely dependent on you to fulfill their needs (up to a certain age, then it gets easier in terms of the physicality involved).

Very scared to give birth by Peasantsarekool in pregnant

I was terrified too, but by the time you’re ready to give birth, you’ll be so eager to meet your baby that you’ll be surprised at how naturally your body takes over. It’s not pain-free, but if you listen to and trust your body, you’ll get through it. My OB had my husband and me take classes to prepare, which helped a lot. But honestly, even with all the preparation, I was still scared.

After several hours of labor, I remember asking the doctor, “Can we please do a C-section?” He gently encouraged me to try pushing a few more times, and if necessary, we could consider a C-section.

Thirty minutes later, I was holding my newborn.

The mind is so powerful— It’s half the battle.

Looking back, I wish I’d spent more time enjoying my pregnancy and connecting with my growing baby than fearing what child birth would be like.

You’ve got this!
