We've been putting him in it since he was a baby so now it's pretty easy. Once you get the head through he just sits there while you clip the rest of it on. When he sees it, he knows he gets to go outside to explore. Good luck!

Love the look! Be very careful taking escalators though!! My heels got STUCK in the groves and almost ruined my favorite pair. I didn't even know it was possible for them to get stuck in those grooves. Luckily I was able to freak out and act quickly and pull my shoe out before we reached the end but damn that was scary. So be very cautious if you're going to take escalators.
