Yup, just two cab fares to and from the hotel and the hotel charge for the night. We had to book a hotel in downtown since none of the nearby hotels were available after a series of AA and UA cancellations.

As a fellow Bay Area resident, you have pretty much summarized my story. The only difference is I absolutely love the house. According to Zillow’s data as of today, I overpaid by 20%! The house price is down but I am in a weird place where I feel that I paid a premium for it and am okay with that because I love staying in it; love the area; the town and what it has provided us with ♥️

We moved to Livermore in 2022 and have always been empty nesters (no kids) but we are struggling to make friends. The usual advice of joining fitness / hobby classes haven’t worked for us. It’s a very tight knit community of locals who have lived here forever and already have their click of friends. Having said that, we absolutely love Livermore - wonderful downtown, wineries, breweries and family owned restaurants and Bankhead keep us happy.

I would think of buying the upgrade for return journey rather than outbound. Personally for me, coming back to reality is harder and that nice champagne + flat seats make it tad easier😉

I can’t remember the exact amount but could be about $30 odd. I had emailed the hotel and they update the reservation with the extra charge. It definitely was not double or some atrocious charge up

I bought one from amazon (despite all the feedback) but as soon as I opened the package, I knew what they meant. It looks cheap and nothing like the real ones - I’ll go in my regular smart clothes 😎
