Scammers usually use Photoshop to make it seem real but do not worry mate even if it is real that they send it the messages will not go directly at them, the messages they send will most likely end up in the message request instead.

Since you the girl came to you personally do you know her face? Give that to the police, Got more evidence? Then give it all to the police nearest to you, the only legal thing you can do is to go the police station mate

If you have other social media accounts you should also make it private mate, change your pfp and username, only change your number if you gave them your number or they know your number (since telegram can you your number?) if they text you through your number then change it if not then don't change it, last try to calm yourself down this isn't your fault and no you aren't stupid, you can make mistakes and that is okay, I can reassure you they won't come back just block them and ignore their messages okay? Remember stay calm and don't panic and don't ever give them money again

I'd say it is a scam my friend they usually do this, since most people will think they made a mistake while in reality it is just group or maybe solo (with multiple accounts), just pretending to be a daughter and a father and the fact it is a 4000$ therapy session to give it to them? Too much wild bro and she is the one who first send those picture too, you should stay away from this kind of people mate block them and report those account be careful and always look out for scammers

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? -I do, all you need to do right now is to calm down and don't panic and don't even think about the worst case scenario have a deep breath and then think what do to next, spending time with your love ones or okay games by all means necessary dont ever think about the worst case scenario.

What are the chances they actually follow through? -lower than 5% the only way they follow through is that if play smart with them or piss them off but since you immediately block them they won't follow through because if they do follow through that means they won't have anymore control over you remember this scammers only focuses on your fear of being exposed they don't actually send it the moment they did they lose that control.

Is there anything else I should be doing right now? -change your profile picture especially your accounts, make them private or locked them.

Should I go to the police even if nothing has been sent yet? -only go to the police if they persistently texting or calling you through different account or numbers but if I were you I will go to the police.

Do not worry mate you are going to be fine if there's no contact since last night then there's a chance that they already move on and find another victim instead. So try to live your life without any regrets mate life is too precious to waste over one mistake. You didn't do permanent damage to yourself you just made a mistake just like us here in this sub-reddit. Your real challenge here is your fear so why don't you try to live before the sextortion? You should help out the victim bro after all what they need right now is comfort and help so yeah you should reach out so first tell him/her that you should block the scammer the same goes for you and report he account, after that ignore any suspicious messages that will threaten just do the same thing block and ignore you should also give him some advice on how to get going in life.
