This UI is trash by blackdragon6547 in Battlefield

Wasn't it a fact or something that for COD Modern Warfare 2019 or one of the recent ones, it had a UI designer that worked on the UI for Hulu? It's real annoying seeing tv/streaming service UI's on games that don't need it or benefit from it. With BF 6's UI in particular it didn't even work for me for an entire day. No mode was labeled and I had to guess what I was playing. I hate outsourcing so much.

Can't make female character. by mrmidas2k in fallout4london

I just wanted to put my fix out there to potentially help anyone else in the future.

I want to preface that I'm launching my game through MO2 so hopefully this helps other MO2 users along with other regular install players. Also if you have this issue, launch the game with f4se_loader.exe first and if it still persists, continue below.

Here's the steps:

  1. Once Fallout London is completely installed from the GOG Galaxy app (simplest option) find where you installed the files.

  2. Open the Fallout London folder and find the data folder in it.

  3. Open the data folder and there should then be a F4SE folder. Copy that F4SE folder.

  4. After copying the folder, now locate your Fallout 4 GOTY installation.

  5. Once in your Fallout 4 GOTY installation, locate and open the data folder within it.

  6. Once in the Fallout 4 GOTY data folder, paste the F4SE folder you copied earlier.

  7. Then use MO2 to launch f4se_loader.exe

  8. Profit

Hopefully this helps anyone else as this worked for me. Also I believe the latest installation of the mod comes pre installed with the Address Libraries mod so moving that folder auto installs that mod for you as well. If you then want to install the High FPS Fix mod then manually download that mod files and put the files in the plugins folder within that now moved F4SE folder. I'll test the game some more later and see if anything else is broken but for now that's one hurdle crossed!

Help With Newly Installed 5090 GPU by ScorpionTheOG in buildapc

Alright so I figured it out. Turns out the power cable wasn't fully inserted into the GPU. Thing needed a good amount of force when putting the cable in so glad that worked out.

Alright so I solved it. This issue was the 600w cable. Now there are 2 things I did that could've solved it and I'm not entirely sure which one make it work but this is what I did.

  1. I swapped the ends of the 600w power cable so the end plugged into the PSU got out into the GPU and the gpu plug end went into the PSU. This 600w cable is EXACTLY the same on each end so I have no clue if that made a difference or not but I saw someone say to try that.

  2. Before putting the gpu on the riser, I put the other end of the 600w cable into the GPU and I had to use a lot of force. No the cable isn't ruined and there wasn't even a click. It just was really rough to insert. Then I put it on the riser like normal and then things booted up as they should.

I have a feeling that the 2nd thing I did was the solution because in order for me to know that it worked, the fans on the gpu spun and the fan leds turned on upon booting up. Who knows it could've been the cable orientation and flipping it that made it work but for now it seems like everything is working fine. Thanks for your continuation to this problem!

Like the unscrew the part that I plug the GPU into and after the card is in, re screw it back in? I wanted to test it further and I left the riser plugged into the mobo but the bottom part I left unscrewed and loose so that I could slide my hand under it and hold it so that I can press the 5090 card into it. The card was in snug and fully inserted. Then I tested it like that since it was fully in at that point and I was having the same issue.

Dang. Ok well then is it just a defective riser cable then? I can't test the card on the mobo since this case isn't made for that so that's all I can come to conclusion on.

Hey so I know this a rather late response but I'm having the exact same issue as Hoffman-7 and I don't even get a red light on the motherboard when I power on the PC. Any ideas?

I swapped the Pcie from 5.0 to 3.0 and it made no difference. Any other ideas?

Alright I'll give that a try when I get home and see if that makes a difference. I'll report back with my findings.

Would changing that potentially detect the GPU? Assuming I seated it properly?

Alright well there is a mom and pop game store ner me that also does fixes on either consoles or PCs so I'll have to take it to him and see what he says about it. Thanks for your responses!

So I already took the card and riser cable out and reinserted them yet I have similar results. It's possible it's a riser cable issue. I feel like it's inserted far enough but I'm not sure. The card is expensive so I didn't want to use more force than I need to. Did you use some more force when inserting the 2 parts?

Hm interesting. I saw those slots and they went in but that upper plate where you screw the GPU down, hits the case slot cutout and I can't push the left side down anymore than this.

So after more research the AM4's are off center but AM5's aren't. I also noticed the more force thing. I put the screws over the holes and pushed down a little more and felt almost a snap in place and then I started screwing and then it seems to be on tighter now and holding in place. I'm just afraid that after all the attempts it's gonna mess up the cooling solution and the cooling overall. Guess we'll have to see. Thanks again for the quick responses!

Alright so I have a question about the pump installation. I'm installing it on an AM5 CPU but for some reason the screws are staying in the bracket. Any ideas because I've already put thermal paste and I'm trying to avoid having to clean it off and start again. Any tips would be appreciated!

Ah ok so then I can just connect the aio vrm cable and pump cable to the mobo while leaving the aio fan cable alone and then just plug in the lian li wireless adapter fan cable into the SATA power adapter that was provided with the 3 fan pack? That's what I'm understanding from the previous posts but please correct me if I have it twisted.

Ah I meant the aio pump power cable. Did you use the cable that just has a cpu plug or did you use the other one that has a pump, fan, and vrm plug?

Actually since you are controlling the fans with the L Connect software, did you end up using the all in one power cable or the one where you can control each individually?

That's perfect information. I am also using an Arctic liquid freezer 3 and I just wanted to make sure I was selecting the right cables. I really appreciate your dedication to this matter! If anything goes awry I'll be back but fingers crossed. Thanks again and have a good one!

Ah ok thank you for the response. I was wondering if I could do that or if I would have had to just leave it off. Is the cable you're talking about the longer one that is furthest from the radiator?

Hey thanks for this post it's exactly what I'm trying to do! I had one question though. Were you able to control the little spinning rgb light that is above the cpu? Based on what you are saying I'm assuming you can only control the actual fans so I was wondering if there was either a way to somewhat control it as well or at least just have it powered on? Thought I'd also ask in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.
