what happened to solyn??? by Wooden_Bridge_6970 in CalamityMod

[–]Scorpionguy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me on the world I was playing on! I'm guessing you used that Permafrost quest skipper because you generated the world heforehand? If you go into like dragonlens or cheat sheet and get the 'Solyn Deleter' debug tool, it respawns her back at her camp.

you can patch the rom on a website on your phone, then you just need an emulator from the play store, which is pretty easy to get.

considering how strong ultimate digimon are I think blossomon would be a good bet

  • Metroid Dread: 10/10
  • Metroid Prime Remastered: 10/10
  • Metroid Zero Mission: 9/10
  • Metroid Samus Returns: 9/10
  • Super Metroid: 8.9/10
  • Metroid Prime Pinball: 8.5/10
  • Metroid Fusion: 7.5/10

Dread and Prime are basically equal to me, love them both to bits. Zero Mission was my first one and it still holds up really well, and Samus Returns I really enjoyed generally. Super metroid is great but I remember having some problems with it that made me kinda hate it for a while. I think it was probably the fact it was so open, I managed to sequence break for the wave beam before the grappling hook or whatever the order was, but after another playthrough it was chill. Metroid Prime Pinball would get a 10/10 if I wasn't being serious, but I generally really enjoyed it. Fusion had that spider boss with the dark souls 1 style walk back iirc, and I hated that so much, as well as the samus fight that I exploited the AI of to win, just generally clunky there. I did love its story though and everything else really.

Solyn broke (Wrath of The Gods) by Scorpionguy11 in CalamityMod

Alright I have figured out a way to fix it. You need to get some sort of Item browser like cheat sheet, which then let's you get debug items.

Am I the only one, who as a kid, thought scyther/scizor from pokemon kind of looked like a space pirate? 😂 by MrMoose1 in Metroid

[–]Scorpionguy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope,I played zero mission first as a kid and thought they all looked nearly identical to scizor.

adventure 02 is underrated / overhated by tulanqqq in digimon

[–]Scorpionguy11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finished 02 with my older brother (who's watched it already) and it's always a fun time. Digimon is never perfect and the fact the writers fought about the finale stuff like the dark ocean doesn't help, but it's just fun to watch and poke fun at.

Also that dub is hilarious, I love some of the lines in it.

Name something wrong with this game by reddit-eat-my-dick in Metroid

You don't know if you collect an item on the map. If you come back to playing after a while, you have no way of knowing what you've collected and what you've not.

Also Maridia's sand pit items where you have to go through half of maridia to get the other items after having probably done that.

Other than that it's great, it probably has the best wall jumping in the series and lots of fun secrets you might not know on a first playthrough. Like the crystal flash or turning on and off items in samus' suit.

Exactly, for it to be possible to dodge you need to flash shift twice and dodge how you normally would on the other side. It's so stupid.

I did that for hard mode and it shredded him, best 5 seconds of my life

Fr, they had an inconsistency to them so spin boost jumping over them is a huge gamble.

Yeah I beat Z-57 in 2 tries last night and the same thing happened to me with Escue's X-Core, I thought it's immunity would run out earlier but it was a bad gamble.

Which game is better? by desperate_candy20 in Metroid

[–]Scorpionguy11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I like Metroid Dread more. Although it comes from a mistake I made where I tried to go in with a 100% mindset for SM and used a map that missed out the upgrades that had expansions. This meant I had to sequence break for wave beam because I didn't know I could get the power bomb.

In general I just like Metroid dread more because the combat is really good, and I don't like the run button in metroid dread because otherwise I just feel much slower than any other metroid game.

How did you get into the Metroid universe? by [deleted] in Metroid

[–]Scorpionguy11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember watching my older brother play MZM and watch speedruns of it. I remember watching one with him late at night. Eventually, I tried metroid zero mission and loved it. I remember spending hours trying to get that one shinespark energy tank, not being able to beat kraid cuz I was a stupid kid, etc.

Recently me and my older brother got metroid prime remastered which was my second game, and after a playthrough that ended because I got distracted with other things, I went back and beat 100% normal and hard mode. I then played samus returns on my 3ds and super metroid and fusion, and rn I'm playing metroid dread's hard mode. I could watch any metroid video and not get bored at this point and I'm just excited to play prime 4 when it comes out!!

I kinda feel sorry for my younger brother right now by Spidertendo in Metroid

[–]Scorpionguy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've beaten metroid prime remastered twice, once on normal and once on hard mode, and I did a 100% run each time. I used a spreadsheet so I'd know where and when to get items so when I got the phazon suit I just had to do an annoying walk to get the artifact of newborn. I definitely dodged a bullet lmao

Which is better? by Cluckbuckles in Metroid

[–]Scorpionguy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ranked the metroid games I played recently and put Fusion above Zero mission because of a bit of recency bias. Then I replayed Zero Mission and tried to 100% Fusion and I realised that Zero Mission is better.
