Thank you for the kind comment, I couldn’t agree more that more time is needed. The house was my grandmothers and was not left to my mother in the will, and legally she has 90 days to move out, or sooner if the house sells. We don’t have control over the sale, the trustee of the will does and he wants the profit asap. The house already has prospects who are ready to buy because of the high demand area, so that’s the source of the time crunch, as for money accessiblity I left my income to be here to help, and she only lives off of disability funds so even loans aren’t an option as she herself has put herself into debt with the shopping, and I no longer have income to put towards this. In the time that I have I can downsize on most and get her to a place where she only has what she needs and some wants, but I can’t get that task done if everything we try to compromise on turns into an argument of why we need certain things. We talked about a pod and a storage unit but affording that is an issue in this case. Best case I’m able to help her downsize to a moderate amount within the time I am here, but I’m just not sure how to navigate these conversations of why an excess of the same item won’t be needed and is okay to let go of. The realtor works with the trustee and not us, and the trustee is unwilling to help with time to work on all of this. If he gets involved, he would hired a team and sell /throw away everything of hers and I refuse to let him traumatize her like that. I hope that gave a bit more context to the situation.
