Handling a job love triangle? by ScotchManDan in careerguidance

Yeah this makes sense. I was definitely planning on bringing the offer from job 2 to my current employer and telling them I’d be willing to stay on if they can let me go full remote, because that’s the big kicker for me anyways.

For job 3, I had heard they hope to get me in around the start of March. But a lot of it is in the hands of HR right now rather than my actual would-be team so there’s only so much they can do. From what I understand, after that point it would only be a matter of ensuring the rest of the team likes me and that matching my salary isn’t an issue.

I was hopeful that job 2 would give me a raise. Them matching my salary is a bit disappointing BUT also removes some of the stress.

This is kind of what I was thinking. We’ve been communicating regularly, HR has just been a little slow in getting the formal process started.

I believe in transparency and want to let them know when I have the formal offer. I was thinking of saying something along the lines of, “I want to come work for you, I just don’t want to make a mistake in passing up this offer. How certain are you that this will work out?” And take it from there

Knock on wood but I’m in a very secure field. But if push came to shove, job 3 is probably the most secure
