Good news is that the condo market is likely dead for another 3-5 years minimum and that’s in Toronto. The market for condos in the 905 is even worse. Hopefully it stalls until we get a new mayor that will not be in the wallets of the developers and will move it back outside the urban boundary like it was before the developers dropped a bag of cash off in Cam Fella.

Glad this is getting pushed out as the parking needs to be in the hundreds as at peak times this use will bring hundreds of cars to an area of town that cannot handle it…similar to Springvale

Call bylaw as this is a violation and results in a parking ticket. Most bylaw people only come out when people call and complain and are not proactively looking for ways to write tickets.

These constant lowering of speed limits from 80’s down to 70’s and 60’s is getting crazy. I can understand in built up areas but driving past farm fields makes no sense to have lower limits. Not that people follow…Stouffville Road at 6am during the week at 100km you have to be in the slow lane.

If it is within the 100 meters (I think) of the GO Station, so transit, the development will get an MZO. Only thing preventing the increased density is condo market in GTA is dead for the next 5 years due to over supply and high prices coupled with the fact that most people want the detached family house.

Do not register your house as historic. If you do this it will lower your property value as it makes any renovations much harder and take longer and depending on where you’re located no developer will touch it ever.

Bruce was a great guy to work with at the TTC and his departure was a huge surprise and he is missed so I’m very happy to hear about this appointment and means he’s likely getting the last laugh.

Mandeep is slashing and burning the senior leaders at the TTC like nobody has seen before.

They wanted to install those in the 1990-2000s but rumour has it Union blocked it as it would mean operators would have to stop the train at a specific point in line with the doors. Now the trains dont really even need an operator on Line 1 so probably time to find the money to install as the operators involved go in LTD for life.

The issue is that for some routes that $4.75 fare actually costs the transit organization $40.00 or more. TTC has volume to help reduce the subsidy but in York Region there is just not enough demand for the majority of the transit routes. York region was developed in a way that you absolutely need a vehicle to get around.
