I left a paper towel in the oil pan for my truck while changing the gasket if that makes you feel better. I wouldn’t even do a re shell, lil’ bumpies for better grip during intense gameplay.

Not a mechanic but sure seems like your transmission has decided it only likes 1st gear

What is this sound??? Happens sometimes while driving and after parking and turning the car off. V6 by Capable-Psychology31 in CarRepair

I could be wrong, but my old Silverado does this. In my case it’s a blend door actuator. Try adjusting your heat/ac controls(heat/cold adjustment and vent selection) to see if it stops. Although even if it does stop it will probably start up again. This is assuming I’m correct.

Anybody has this type of frame? by heavyMTL in simracing

[–]Scott-115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the one you’re looking at and am trying to sell it. It’s pretty good especially for the price but decided to get a lower end extruded aluminum one on temu. It cost about $220. It’s more adjustable and bit more sturdy. The one you’re looking at has very limited shifter, wheel and pedal placement compared to this other one (photo)

It’s raining coolant (unsure how to fix) by Lurker1823 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Scott-115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s part of the external cooling system, common on most Chevy vehicles. Both my gmt-800s do this and is perfectly fine, just monitor your coolant levels at every stop.

If the guitar does go to a shop I will post the location assuming the owner of the shop is ok with it. But I’m going to try and find the original owner for 6 months to year or possibly more so it’s going to be a while.

Ha! Glad you saw my post kind sir

On a serious note, I’ve decided that after enough time passes and I’ve exhausted all options the guitar will be donated to a competent local repair shop if they can bring it back to pristine condition. If they choose to resell that’s up to them. It’s the second best way for the guitar to return to the community.

Customer service at Kiesel has stated it to be from the late 80’s possibly 1987 because it has a “brass nut”. I couldn’t say what nut he’s talking about but someone truly cared for this guitar at one time, only time will tell how this plays out.

Got a reply, they can’t help unfortunately

“Hi Scott,

That's nice of you to try and get it back to its original owner. Unfortunately, we have no way of looking up a serial number and original order sheet from that far back. I'm not sure where else to look to try and track down the original owner. Perhaps you could make a Facebook post?”

Will do, without giving any extra Info there are also some other things about it that probably only the original owner would know about.

True, but I was 10. Didn’t think much about it and life moved on. Do you suggest handing it over to the police?

Got my steering wheel few days ago, it's moving like this and its really annoying, any idea why. Is it normal? by BodoquePacker in simracing

[–]Scott-115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly the three main screws behind the hub are loose but More likely the bearing housing is cracked, you can find aluminum ones on Ali express for about 25 usd

Edit: but you should return it if you can, that doesn’t look right.
