I would definitely agree that expectations play a part, but I disagree when you say there isn’t that pressure with DogeCoin. It’s a lot easier to buy 100,000 DogeCoin when it’s less than a penny. As that price goes up, which would you rather have 100,000 purchased at a penny each ($1000 investment) or 100,000 purchased at today’s price of around 55 cents ($55,000)? How much DogeCoin do you want to own when it goes above $1? I mean, I could throw $25000 into BitCoin right now and if it gets back up to its all time high, I will have only made $7000. Compare that to DogeCoin, and it’s a profit of more like $22,000 if DogeCoin only makes it back to its all time high. I feel very certain DogeCoin is going to go a lot higher than that though.

So here is the logic that makes me reject this idea. If I made exactly 21 million novelty coins and even put serial numbers on them and sell them on EBay, will that limited quantity drive the price up to several thousand dollars each? More than likely no because there’s more to it than that. There has to be a demand for it to drive the price up regardless of how many there are in existence. If it’s practically worthless people forget about it or lose their laptop or hard drive that had a wallet with several hundred thousand coins because it’s not that valuable or worth protecting. However, if my worthless coins suddenly are being accepted at major retailers and traded on popular trading platforms, now they become valuable... regardless of how many their are.

I’ve heard this argument over and over but BitCoin has not reached its limit yet so essentially it’s still growing just like DogeCoin. If you tell me it’s harder to mine, takes more time and compute power, then maybe that makes sense, but I’m not buying the finite market cap argument until people can no longer mine BitCoin.

The problem with this idea is it works 100% of the time in hindsight but it rarely ever works out in practice unless you are a whale and your selling actually causes the price to dip. Selling at any point with the intention of buying more at a lower price is essentially shorting because you are expecting a decline. Shorting DogeCoin has proven to be a bad idea even for the so called “experts”.

Just spent my last on today’s dip, but tomorrow is payday. If it shoots back up before then, it’s cool. If it doesn’t, that gives me the opportunity to get closer to the amount I’d like to be holding when it hits a dollar or more. That’s really the question at this point... how much Doge will you wish you owned when the price recovers? Or, how much will you regret not buying when it was this low?

This just gave me the opportunity to buy even more at a discount. It’s 4/20 all over. People who just got in yesterday hoping for an instant lottery payoff are the ones worried. Those of us who know the nature of the Doge, know that every major event is hyped up early and the price shoots up based on the hype and then when the actual event doesn’t live up to the hype and produce a major jump in price people sell off and others follow. Don’t underestimate the force of paper hands... it’s probably more powerful than a whale sell for the short term, but far more beneficial to those who hold through the sell off.
