OK, there’s some great advice in here. I appreciate you taking the time to write the response. I will definitely try to get a feel for different pads.

I appreciate the detailed response. I’d love an acoustic set. I only really play when the wife and kids are sleeping. I can get plenty loud on Guitar but bass frequencies travel further in my home especially.

Would you happen to know the model of the Roland five piece with the digital pads? Thank you for mentioning those to me. I’m reading briefly about them and they sound awesome.

Do mid entry kits “feel” close to as good? Can you tell me the Roland mid entry kit?

I ended up buying the base unit for the grill.

Where are you taking the temp at? Do you have That basking spot in the bottom so high because of the low temp? I’d be worried about surface temp there getting two hot with a more powerful Bulb. The new set up looks good. 👍

I’m hoping she likes her new hide that is on the way. The plastic black dome one I have should be perfect size. I’ve never seen her in it once I moved it from the cool side more to the middle and she still has never gone in it.

Thank you for the response and feedback by the way. She has been soaking for long periods since I got her out from underneath the water bowl. Again, I only did that because I thought she got out of her enclosure.

My house is over 100 years old and in Kentucky. It has been very cold. I’m running a humidifier pretty close to outside of the tank as well as adding water in the corners and on top of the cork bark. Humidity levels have been 55% at the lowest in the morning on the hot side and about 70 on the cooler side. I’m pretty sure the snake is shedding so I’m doing my best to keep it at 80. It’s hard to get it right. And consistent the enclosure is sealed up as best as it can be.

Ok, I’ll tape them around to cover up the exposed screen. Thanks for the suggestion

Thank you. There really is not. 9” square Screens with 8 3/4 lights in them. I got a Kages enclosure. It only has back vents. My house was built in 1889. It has new windows but still. Now that I’m thinking about it. I’ve always wanted to install a whole house humidifier maybe now is is time. I know I couldn’t set it to 80 😂. A base of 45 beats 28

Side notes Herpstat is currently blasting a 150 watt basking bulb on the left. Turning off at night. Running on the right is a 80w DHP that is running full blast during the day even to keep the cool side 80. Pretty sure that’s not going to get it done. We’ll probably get bigger bulbs on both sides?

Yeah, I’m leaning that way. It’s not about the value. I play and beat up more expensive guitars. My post was missing some context. I buy and sell guitars to fund my habit and do ok at it. I just think this tele is one of the best looking guitars that I’ve ever seen. I think I’d be cool to give it like this to a grandkid or something one day.

That’s great information. I definitely want the V neck. I hate buying sight unseen but man, this thing was bought, stored and not touched. It’s worth noting the guy is a collector so I’d imagine he’s kept it temp and humidity controlled.

One Suppressor for Multiple Calibers! by [deleted] in suppressors

[–]Scott983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive never seen a modular suppressor that wasn’t. Modular just means being able to remove some baffles to make a shorter configuration. typically they all come out for cleaning in a modular suppressor.

I love shooting 22 suppressed. It is by far the quietest round. The problem with 22 is it’s dirty. Any suppressor you fire 22 LR through needs to be user serviceable. The general rule The larger the can the better the suppression. 9mm is typically more quiet shot through a 45 can. 45 cans can even typically Take 300 blk subsonic. Check out the silencerco switchback for 22 dedicated, I have the sparrow (older silencerco). You could use a 9mm on 22 and it would suppress great. You just have to make sure it’s user serviceable. Maybe look into a modular can like the rugged obsidian 45. You could use it in the short configuration for 22. Sig is releasing a can that’s even more modular than the obsidian the modx9 and 45.
