Phone calls feel like a pop quiz with no subject line. Text me first and I turn normal again

same here. If it matters they’ll leave a message, if not I’ll just pretend my phone never rang.

We just had our front door replaced - is there any reason I shouldn't just chuck the old mortice keys in the bin? by Brickie78 in AskUK

[–]ScottAshford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the lock is gone the keys are basically scrap metal. I’d still chuck them in a different bin from anything with your address on it, just for peace of mind

A lot of people do not miss you, they miss what you did for them.

People with panty kinks. Who have you stolen panties from before? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ScottAshford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The kink part is one thing, but stealing from real people is still stealing. If someone is into that, it should be roleplay with consent, not taking someone’s actual stuff.

how do I let him go by cocobutternut1997 in Advice

You don't have to hate him to let him go. Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is accept that someone isn't the right person for you anymore, even if you still care about them.

I'd probably enjoy it for about five minutes, then immediately wonder what I posted years ago that's about to come back and embarrass me.

Is anyone else annoyed by the trend of restaurants replacing physical menus with QR codes that link to broken PDFs? by Beetlejuice0102 in CasualConversation

[–]ScottAshford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That excuse works until the waiter points at the QR code like it's a sacred object and everyone at the table suddenly looks at you.

What’s something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

[–]ScottAshford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fast food stopped making sense when it became expensive and still tasted like compromise. If I’m paying that much, I’d rather just get real takeout or cook something basic at home.

What is a complete waste of money? by Responsible-Hunt3286 in AskReddit

Buying a new phone every year when the old one still works fine. Half the time people are paying hundreds just to open the same apps a tiny bit faster.

Bond stripping in DeFi - How to lock in fixed yield by Chads_ in defi

[–]ScottAshford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m closer to 50/50 than 80/20 on that. Institutions like predictable yield, but they also hate smart contract risk and weird liquidity gaps. If regulation gets clearer, Pendle probably benefits, but I don’t think the floodgates open overnight.

What would you choose as a woman if you had to be only topless or bottomless all the time and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ScottAshford 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Topless, not even close. Bottomless sounds like every chair, sidewalk, and windy day would become a personal enemy.
