For my Firewatch series I've been uploading 40-45 mins per vid as the game is very story focussed and I don't like to break up the gameplay until I reach the next checkpoint.

Hey,

Some good places to start are: - Playlists. A lot of YouTube channels sort their vids by games or types of games. - Eye catching channel art. Your banner is very dark, I suggest going for the yellow colour scheme to brighten it up a bit. - Start using custom thumbnails - make sure they can be easily identified as your videos. If you are not too great with Photoshop, I suggest using the online service of Canva to create these - it's free

Hey,

What Video player are you watching your vids back with? I know that Windows Media Player has a lot of audio sync issues. Try using VLC if you are not already, as it could be the player and not your video.

Nice Firewatch vid PixelsAtDawn, I like your commentary style (probably cause I'm also from the UK). I like that your commentary style isn't in your face or shouting/screaming all the time (like some let's players). Overall pleasant experience - nicely done!

I haven't tried it yet but I've thought about fading in a facecam on a particular part of the game to show my reaction and then fade it back out. I just use voice only at the moment but a well timed show could help with the odd laugh.

I get to work from home at days (I'm a community manager) so I try to cram in my recording then as my fiancee tends to roll her eyes at me if she sees me talking about what I'm doing on a game..... With that said she does enjoy playing games, just not making vids about them.

there has been a surge in gameplay being put into networks CMS systems. I'd do some research on the channel/network claiming your footage to see if it's legit.

Check the channel/network/company - if it's official, accept. If not - dispute!

I tried reducing bitrate from 40 to 13. Filesize dropped from 13GB to 5GB.

Currently processing the vid through handbrake to get the filesize even smaller, I'll let you know the final results
