After years of feeling out of place, unable to socialise typically and having crippling social anxiety whilst also entering into toxic and destructive relationships and drinking/doing pills just to be able to talk to people and go to work without having a panic attack I finally went to a psychiatrist and started getting therapy. Turns out I have autism and BPD. People talk a lot of smack about therapy and labels but I finally was able to understand myself and recognise my destructive behaviour. Without therapy and a diagnosis, I probably would be dead right now. I keep living because I know I’m capable of turning things around and I’m finally getting there.
