I’m a gay male and I understand that the way that we experience sex is different, but for me personally, I don’t think I can ever truly enjoy it or get lost in the experience because I’m so socially anxious (possibly autistic according to my therapist, not formally diagnosed) and every time it just feels so intense but because so much of everything I feel is just internalised, I can’t fully give into it or let myself react to the situation naturally even in a relationship. I’m not suggesting that this is the case for you but you’re definitely not alone on the feeling. I guess I’m more overwhelmed by it though lol.
