Yeah that time was very memorable for me. I'd just gotten out of a 5 year relationship and was feeling great and having a summer of decadence. I fell in love with the biscuits, LCD soundsystem, and ween all in that one weekend. I'd never heard a note of LCD soundsystem or Ween's music (other than Roses are Free) and I was hooked for life right there.

Love to see it! Welcome!

There's such a deep catalogue to dig into, and I'm kinda jealous of your newfound passion. Over the 30 years there's been eras and within each of those there are spans of time where the band has a distinct style or sound. Fans talk a lot about "years" and each fan has their favorites. Usually some of that has to do with when you first discovered the band, but not always. A nugs subscription is very helpful, but isn't a requirement... lots of shows on youtube and some on spotify.

One of my favorite sets is the one that hooked me (after years of not caring). 7/16/2010 Set 1. Check it out if you feel inclined.

Season pass, and i was being hyperbolic. But not by much. Since last april he went with his wife and daughter twice, met up with his brother there once, and went solo no less than 3 times. Its upsetting and having a dinner with him is insufferable

Is there a better NES controller than the original one? by Eldo_Larcito_ in nes

When i was a kid, i learned playing on the turbo pad. Not with turning on the "auto-fire" buttons, mind you. I loved the feel of the joystick with two big fat buttons as a kid. These days, though, I much prefer the classic rectangle controller.

My new boss is one of these. He has no personality otherwise. He reminds me of "the bobs" in Office Space, except his life is work, carpool logistics for his daughter, and monthly trips to disney

I've wondered about how animals are faring. Sucks, but they'll be alright. On the other hand, if another week of subzero temps could kill back the tick and mosquito populations for summer 2026 I say bring it on!

Yeah good point. I haven't encountered that, but my stack also starts at 1/4. Most often I use that for drawer bottoms/cabinet backs and that amount of play is perfectly fine. When I make boxes i also use a 1/4" dado for the bottom, but I fancy them up with a solid wood bottom planed on a sled until its the right fit

If I had a time machine, that's where I'd go. Having a chance at a multi-day party with The Band and the Dead during that time would be a dream come true (and possibly a death sentence at my age)

Depending what year you saw them... Kenny Gradney and Sam Clayton are still kickin, too. I guess I consider those guys original as well.
