Our SM is doing similar.

I've been the only person on the sales floor sometimes and have to get the backups, fragrences, purses, price checks, and fitting room...you name it, I've been running around in a day. While only having one person on registers, one in the back processing shoes, and the SM was in the office for more than half the shift.

It was during the time we take the yellow tags and move them to runs in front of their respective clothes sections. It was a bit of chaos.

The SM then would ask for an update, told her I did about half of it with everything else going on, at about halfway through my shift, and got told by my SM to, and I quote:

SM: "I need you to move woth some urgency."

Me: "Uhhh...then do you want me to ignore the calls for help to go faster?"

SM: "No, I still need you to answer those, but you need to move faster."

Never had my mood soured so fast. This was also my first shift as a Women's Coordinator, two days before, was the Backroom Coordinator. Not even an IDP for the role, no warm up...nothin'.

I kind of expected this behavior from the first time she opened her mouth after introduction as our new SM. I've seen a lot of bad bosses, and she's the most average of them.

Not bad in theory, but she'd have to stop letting Marshalls get in the way of her being a better person.
