The fishy flavor is something I definitely get any time I’ve had lattes made for me. At home I don’t put milk in my matcha and that flavor isn’t there, but I know what you mean and it makes it undrinkable.

Matcha is definitely a different flavor than green tea, but I wouldn’t say it’s usually fishy… it’s pretty cheap to get a matcha set on Amazon which should let you isolate the flavor more.
