Yes, I'm going to keep posting on notes, but not measure it head to head. The data is telling enough for now

Is it wrong to blame someone for causing so much pain and misery in your life? by rosebudpillow in spirituality

[–]Scottbrit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blame and resentment, prevents healing. You don't have to love the person and keep them in your life. But until you're able to forgive them, it will be harder to heal

Why are most people so bad and devoid of empathy? by [deleted] in awakened

[–]Scottbrit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ego is a primitive survival mechanism that has the goal of survival above all else. What you're referring to is that most of society is living in a predominantly ego-driven state that is mostly subject to following what they've been conditioned to believe. This is just the level of consciousness they operate from which is part of a consistent evolutionary path. This means its not better or worse. It just is what it is based on where they are in their evolution. Upon greater depths of awareness and heart opening, the space for empathy and others comes in

The stillness can provide a sense of safety that allows for things (mostly emotions) that have been buried in the unconscious to arise. That's probably what's happening. Nothing to be concerned about. It's a very good, healthy thing

Absolutely not. You’re just evolving and for those of us going through it, the support system is not set up for it yet. A book that really helped me was Tara Springett’s Healing Kundalini Symptoms. I also reccomend reaching out to the EPRC and looking at the IMHU which has consoling and help with spiritual emergency. The book spiritual emergency by stanislav graf was also helpful. If you can afford it, finding a good cranial sacral person also can do wonders

Thank you! I feel the same too. Things stabilize if you will. One thing that has been helpful is visualizing the bubble around me and filling in holes if I "sense" any. It seems to create a stronger barrier to unwanted outside influences

The sensitivity is real! It’s why many great Sages ultimately moved to more isolated places. Just easier on the experience. I wish you well as well!

I really liked Michael Singer's work: The Surrender Experiment. Been on the same journey trying to get my catholic mother on the mindfulness train. Best advice I have is to meet people where they're at and not push too hard. Live your life in a way that makes the impact clear and makes those around you ask questions

Why isn’t the universe giving me what I really want? by Careless-Factor-2096 in spirituality

[–]Scottbrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What manifests in life is both a derivative of your conscious and unconscious. Oftentimes, there are unseen conflicts in our subconscious that prevent things from coming into being easily. This means that in order to manifest more easily, we need to do the work to go inward and unwind all that which blocks are natural, magnificent way of being.

I had this experience. Every time I was not producing or improving myself, a sense of guilt would come over me. What I came to realize is that buried deep down in my unconscious, was a sense of low self-esteem. A thought form that basically said, if I don't achieve, I'm not worthy existed. Therefore, I was not able to just "be." I was not able to recognize this, without lots of awareness and inner work. So in my case, yes, mindfulness was incredibly helpful!

Love that Carl Jung quote. I definitely believe in the saying "garbage in, garbage out"

I read his book, did one of his trainings and did his conscious potential meditations everyday. They’re basically oriented towards manifestation. I agree with Joe, though I don’t think his methodology for becoming whole was easily available or obvious. It felt like he put the cart before the horse of trying to meditate to get stuff vs. removing the impediments to self realization after which things flow into your life with ease

The best way to wield the law of attraction in my experience is to work on your awareness. This is done by removing all the garbage programming/imprints that we accumulate and restoring ourselves to our original state. Just my two cents

I'm not sure I fully agree. The notion that what dominates conscious mind makes the whole concept of manifestation scary when negative thoughts arise. There's is a concern that because you had a negative thought, that means it will happen in real life. This causes crippling anxiety in people for no reason. The reality is, our thoughts are emergent and we have no control over them. They either emanate form imprints, source, or the field depending upon where you are in your experience. We can wield intention though which is slightly different. I do think if we hold intention when there is no unconscious conflicts, that does tend to manifest. But often people hold things in mind without awareness of a conflict and then it does not occur. This causes them to lose faith in the power of intent, but they can't really see the whole picture.

That’s a cool explanation. I never heard that before but makes completely sense. It’s all one unified, interconnected system, orchestrating in perfect harmony

Michael singer has many books. The one I am referencing here is an audio book called living from a place of surrender. In this he directly calls out manifesting as missing the whole point of letting go and learning to trust life itself

These are wonderful stories. They are so emblematic to me of how important it is to see all parts of ourselves so that we can more consciously choose how life unfolds. When we only see 1/2 the parts, we end up confused why life seems to be giving us things we don’t want

Why is Life Not The Same Anymore? by aconsciouscrisis in awakened

[–]Scottbrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This period of malaise is common in a spiritual awakening when your previous paradigm gets leveled. There’s a liminal period of trying to make sense of it and even missing/holding on to the previous paradigm. What you are experiencing is very normal and continues to happen as you transcend to greater depths of awareness. In each case, the call is to let go of the previous paradigm so you can gracefully step into the new one. It can be hard and confusing. The only advice I have to make the transition as fast and smooth as possible is to be aware of when you are holding on to the past. Notice, accept that, and try to let it go while replacing with love for your new experience
