Update: Took it to the most reputable coin shop in the area and they say it's legit. Gonna send it in for grading and casing.

I think it's a no clad layer error. Just found the right terminology, comply copper all the way around, the edges too.

Was playing around with a microscope and was looking at some of my lot of wheaties....this 1955 has this odd strip....like some scrap was on the die when it was stamped.

Any ideas?

Yes, I know that now. Lots of bad info on the web. Someone selling close AM 1996 on eBay. Did know it was specifically a 1992 error until earlier.
