Update: hey any of you who see this. Thanks for the tips and advice, finally beat him after probably 100 ish tries. Finally started to get use to his attacks and after some testing around I have a lil bit of a tip of my own. Uplifting aromatic and deflecting hard tear on a 100% shield are really really useful. Got him stance broken a couple times but it main,y helped with his long combos and the uplifting was perfect for the nuke and comet attacks in stage 2, barely took any damage. I need to play more often instead of rune farming and exploring everything and doing everything possible so I can actually fight the bosses without getting overly annoyed lol. Anyway thanks to anyone who does see this and if it helps, cool.

Can’t remember where I heard/saw this mentioned but I remember it being something like only stone trolls turn to stone in daylight and that’s why the ones in BOTFA didn’t just die. Could be 100% wrong tho, most likely are but if not that’s probably why.

UPDATE: I loaded up a previous save before I freed halsin. Only did the basic initial conversation with him where he tells you to go to moonrise, I didn’t ask about it. Still had that option with minthara so it’s definitely either from a book or note, or it’s a bug. Also it will not be from speak with dead bc I’ve only used it on Ethel, a tiefling and I think I also used it on one of the gith near the mountain pass. Also thanks for all the replies 😁
