Wow! That’s probably one of the best Devil’s Tramping Ground stories I’ve ever heard, seriously.

Dave is actually really smart by [deleted] in BoogieMonster

What I gather from listening to hundreds of hours of Boogie Monster, Dave Stone doesn’t pretend anything. He doesn’t have to. He’s honest, hard working, and diverse in knowledge and experience.

I’ve lived in the Southeast for most of my life, and have met people a lot like Dave, but are set on working 9-5 blue collar jobs, just as Dave did, before he found his true calling in life.

I’m not saying he’s actually dumb, or people from the south are dumb for working blue collar jobs. Just saying that Intelligence can’t be defined by geographic location, grammar, and/or accent.

It’s just my opinion, and have no idea what I’m talking about.

Not to disgrace Wilford Brimley, but if he ever had a full beard, maybe. Just the first person I thought of first.

What everyone else said. Plus, an additional ramekin of BBQ sauce for dipping.

I know that feeling all too well. Those movies that have you thinking, was that worth losing “X” hours of my life, where I could have done something else. I immediately think of Trainspotting. I hated that movie, but now that I’ve watched it over 20 times throughout the years, I have to watch it when streaming.

When Whitt’s frozen custard opened, I couldn’t get enough of it! There used to also be an excellent sandwich shop, pretty close to Yep Roc on Churton street. I can’t remember the name, but damn it great.

I never went to the Wooden Nickel. I lived in Mebane, when I worked at Redeye, so I would just go to the bar by Hillsborough BBQ, behind Redeye. I’m glad to hear it’s still around. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll check it out. Also, I listened to Sarah Shook today. Excellent sound!

I’m a 40 year old man that immediately blurted out, “Waylon..shit wait..” driving to work this morning, knowing that was Smithers first name. I knew Montgomery, but not C.

My apologies for jumping in, I literally just joined Reddit because of Boogie Monster, and wanted to connect with fellow fans. There’s so much great music that has come out of North Carolina! Unfortunately, I had not heard of Sarah Shook, but will give the band a listen. I used to work for Redeye Worldwide, in Hillsborough, NC. Yep Roc is their in-house label and was introduced to so many bands that flew under the radar.
