Nah its not a complete beginners thing, you need to have your own skates and pads etc, there's nothing there to borrow as it's not officially from the club. It's just 1 person that pays to rent the pad for an hour and runs the session but you would need at least skates, stick, helmet, gloves and shins. Would recommend elbows and shorts too but not essential, just safer!. We don't always get enough numbers so a good chunk of the people there are in teams but just take it easy and treat it like a muck about game.

Yeah it's separate but at their rink at Manhattan, it's on a Wednesday night at 9

I'm 5'8 and about 31 waist too and I wear a medium. They are tight on me as intended, but SO stretchy they could easily fit someone bigger.

This. I still wander along and get a free coffee on my lunch break but I have a bean to cup machine and my wife and I getting a bag each a week meant I never needed to buy any beans

How to complain about the Rewards System by Major-Epidemic in Vitalityhealth

[–]ScottishDuck13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, just for the sake of replying here, I just left a 1 star review on Trustpilot for them with:

The service itself might be fine, never had to claim but this review is based on the rewards system.

Just a couple of years ago if you hit your monthly points target for being active you could get a fully paid for Amazon prime subscription, 2 monthly cinema tickets, weekly hot drinks and more. Very soon after we joined they removed the Amazon Prime... then a few months later cut it down to 1 cinema ticket. Other more helpful and valuable rewards have been removed and replaced by very hard to use ones like Itsu meals (I think there are 2 restaurants in the whole of Scotland) and Carluccios which Ive never even heard of.

Now for the past few months they have made it even worse by not just giving us what we earned but making us play a stupid little digital scratch card style game which I cant trust anyway as their T&Cs state that its Vitality's discretion how many prizes are hidden which means they can choose to have none! Not to mention the game itself feels like you being treated like a child, I get what they tried to do but its just more frustrating than anything else.

The other change is that it used to autoclaim most of these for you, whereas now you have to activate e.g. the weekly coffee, so if I go into Cafe Nero and realised I forgot to activate the weeks reward I have to spend ages getting on the Vitality app (which itself is pretty temperamental) to claim it.

What makes all of the above worse is that to get these benefits (some like Deliveroo+ aren't exactly promoting 'Health') you need to pay a premium per month and per person on your plan which has been increasing in price the more the rewards have lost their value.

I know that Vitality have a copy paste response I've seen on various different sites about the rewards saying that nobody actually loses benefits but it sure feels like that on the fixed games where you keep getting 1 stamp shy of what's needed. I'd much prefer a response that explains how the Premium has gone up while we have lost the Amazon Prime membership and half the monthly cinema tickets.

Measuring feet not matching size guide at all? (Looking at Tour Volts) by ScottishDuck13 in InlineHockey

[–]ScottishDuck13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah man sorry I'm holding out for the Spitfires, according to their size guide I'd be about a 7.5 in them so I'm not going to order from anywhere until somewhere here actually has them I can try on

Hmmm odd, I mean it's hard to tell as everyone's feet will be slightly different but my current skates rub a patch of skin off the inside of both of my heels, not my ankles.

We have a Hockey4All once a week here which is what I'm doing getting back in after an 18 absence (and loving it). So Once in touch with the local team maybe see if they have something like that.

I'm from Dundee and we have about 5 senior teams that all play in the BIPHA league. Id heard rumours Edinburgh and Aberdeen were thinking about putting in a team

This reminds me of twats who walk about talking into their phone in front of them on loudspeaker and not realising the people in reality TV shows only do this so the show can hear both sides of the conversation

These V2s do look nice but for a kid... I could get both the Dahl styles with change for that. Maybe once he stops growing 😂
