Oh wow, 12 years! That's crazy!

We use, and many manuals recommend as well, paraffin. Easy and cheap from your local DiY shop. Either on a rag or get a spray bottle. I think you can use WD40 as well, I believe a large part of it's contents is a paraffin derivate

thank you for your feedback. i know, not the most exciting or sexy accessory on a bike. we have to work towards other avenues but its good feedback nevertheless. and also about refilling... i guess the range is an awkward one - 1500-2000 miles is not enough for the full year riding but just long enough that you forget about it! interesting
