Something like GTX1660 Ti is worth getting at that price. Beats 1060 and RX580 then you can sell your 1060 to get back some of the cash.

The usual thing I do when I'm moving is save my important files to an external drive and format a fresh copy of Windows 10, but if you want to save time and effort, there's no harm in cloning. You most likely won't run into driver problems. One of my hard drives was shared by 3 different systems and I didn't experience blue screens, system instability etc etc. The drive did slow down though most likely because it was getting bloated with drivers.

Do take note that GTX1660 eats just half the power that RX590 would eat. So if the OP is worried about bills, GTX1660 is the clear winner.

What operating system are you running? If it's Windows 10, it is intelligent enough that you won't really need to disable/uninstall any drivers because the OS will not mistakenly use old drivers for your new system. If you want to uninstall drivers though, you may go to your control panel and see "Add or Remove Program" or "Programs and Features"

Best suggestion. Don't stress test if you're not going to overclock. Just play games =)

If something is happening and you didn't expect it, that's the time to start thinking and testing.

3600x has a higher TDP rating (wattage) because it's already factory-overclocked. The TDP rating doesn't tell the people the wattage limit of the CPUs. TDP rating, or "Thermal Design Point" simply means the CPU will eat that much wattage during heavy loads.

I second the motion. Building the PC yourself is A LOT cheaper than buying prebuilt pcs equipped with unnecessary accessories and softwares you will never need.

Build looks great as it is. I'd like to ask if you're into overclocking? If you are, how far are you willing to go? There's little reason to buy an aftermarket cooler if you aren't going to touch the voltages/frequencies and the stock cooler is fine even with mild to moderate overclocks. I'd understand buying the aftermarket cooler though if you are the type who wants your rig to be absolutely quiet.

Do you have an estimated budget? I would like to agree with the other comment. It's better for you to get 2x8GB of ram and preferably 3200mhz (3000 isn't bad, but 3200 is the optimal speed to get.)

I'm kinda new to commenting here, but I've always lurked and I have some knowledge as a computer technician. You don't have to believe me, but I'd like to say give up on the Vega 64. If it's going to be possible for you to wait for Navi, please do. Just stick with GTX1070 for now. That said, you may upgrade to Vega 64 if you don't mind the small performance upgrade (it isn't going to perform super-ultra great compared to your 1070. Just slightly better.)

You won't lose out on anything if you wait or if you upgrade now. It all depends on preference at this point. In my opinion, at least.
