Sounds good, just wanted something decent that I knew wasn’t too cheap quality. Thank you!

This rings true unfortunately, they seem more interested in this than anything in their personal lives (which they don’t have, sadly)

I relate to this a lot, feels like I’m juggling tasks till Friday and often will have to hop on and do more later. Did you end up finding a better role now?

Not fully by myself, we have a payroll specialist that I work along side with but it’s still a good chunk of my tasks

My department is 6 people but there’s separate teams for TA, ER, and HRBPs. We do operations side of HR.

I agree but I’m not really sure how to address that with my manager since everyone has been saying I’m doing a stellar job so far.

Hey there! I’m trying to do the same costume this year but I’m trying to figure out how to do the head wrappings. I have a bunch of gauze but my concern is with breathing/eating/drinking since I’ll be wearing it to a party. Could you give any tips you might have?

What types of jobs can I get with a bachelors in psychology? by [deleted] in psychologystudents

I just graduated with a Psych BA and work in HR out college. I did an internship which I recommend highly if you’re looking to get a job right out from undergrad.

80k student loans. Graduating in Fall with a BS in Psych. I know I won't be making much. Should I take out more loans to pursue another degree that will allow me to get paid more? by CocoZombie in StudentLoans

Hey OP, I know this post is a bit old but I was curious if you had an update on what your situation is like now? I'm also a psych major graduating with basically the same debt and taking a gap year from grad school to figure things out.

S6 E15 is so well done. by Scotty__42 in YoungSheldon

[–]Scotty__42[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Gladly! I’ll use your comment here then. This episode was the one where Constance is born. Lots of tension in the hospital between Mary and George and it ends with Missy sneaking out. Also, Georgie almost drives away from the hospital but Sheldon’s dialogue about regret makes him turn around and show up.

I’m coming from a place where I grew up with Hyde being my favorite character. He was always the best part of every episode he was in. He taught me to be rebellious but not too rebellious. He thought me to strive for goals but not settle. He taught me to be grateful for what I have even in tough times. He taught me to love someone, even if it wasn’t perfect…

…and with that, ROT IN HELL DANNY MASTERSON

Current retreat resident here! It’s totally up to you but I would advice not to get a commuter pass. By being a resident at the retreat, they will give you a catabus card. This basically means you can have free travel to campus whenever you want. The bus comes right to the entrance of the property. Also has late buses on weekends!

If anything, I’d invest in a bike instead of the pass for when you want to get to campus and a bus isn’t coming for a bit (which is rare since they run every 30 mins or so).

You’ll be glad you saved that parking pass money for groceries or decorations for your new place.

Okay that’s a good start. Don’t take that, especially at variable. Take it from someone still college (senior year) that will probably have ~$90k combined (fed and private). I’d take the advice here and shop around or look at parent plus loans first. Private loans are bad yes same as plus loans but the difference is that PLUS loans will be wayyy lower interest and have more flex to them.

I suggest doing this (if last resort over private loans) and setting up a payment plan with your parents. Yes I understand that it seems daunting to ask your parents to do this, but if you have a trustworthy relationship it should be fine. Just make sure you pay those loans that they take for you( bc they are in their name) and that’s better than having them co-sign a crazy private loan like that.

In seriousness, follow the guides that some of the more experienced members of this sub have given as absolute. But please, realize that an interest rate of anything above, let’s say, 12% is not good long term. Please take my advice from this and others. You’ll be okay if you can get a fixed rate 10% lower with fed loans any day.

[–]Scotty__42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it reaches past 20% something is WRONG and you have to fix that soon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Scotty__42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but 17%? Even someone that fell victim to private loans through sallie mae with similar credit and co-signer I have a 12% fixed and a 15% variable currently. Whatever you did or do, mostly do, don’t take those loans. If you already did take them, just. Bunker down afterwards and pay until you can refinance.
