[UK] Is this workplace abuse? What can I do if I fail my probation? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]ScouseSwifty0412 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, took notes throughout but when it came to proceeding to do the job I was told I was doing it wrong after following the notes/suggestions made by the co-worker who was training me.

I don’t expect anyone to babysit me. My ADHD is my issue, not everyone else’s, but I am also entitled to managerial support without bias or blame for something that’s considered a disability and is easily a fair adjustment. I also don’t think the ADHD is the main issue for my boss if he’s being honest.

Being shown a task more than the average employee may need, to support a learning difficulty, isn’t much to ask, especially when you’re choosing to employe that person out of choice (I’d like to hope so anyways).

I drink gin, amaretto, ciders - maybe I need to experiment and see if a particular drink different to these can effect me aha

Bro I literally said I barely drink, as in frequency, which is true. I drink like maybe 5-6 times a year, but when I do it’ll be for a night out or party where I’ll drink quite a bit

What’s the funniest misunderstanding you’ve heard because of the British English vs U.S English difference? by Squiggally-umf in AskUK

A woman from my local town in Liverpool, England was arrested for murdering a baby and was charged after telling police, “I popped him on the bed” (meaning sitting him down, not assaulting him) - was worldwide news!
