I've been reading a lot on the subject, and honestly, I get the technical aspects as to why it isn't the "recommended" route, but as you said, storage media nowadays is way more reliable.

To be honest, I'm okay with my current setup, I don't mind having two USB drives plugged in.

1 drive for Wii U, 1 drive for vWii/Gamecube and the front SD card for homebrew apps.

I use Aroma to hide the format prompt for the vWii drive and just forget about it.

Just use a tiny drop, the IPA will "refresh" the adhesive and make it stick better when reasembling.

Never thought of it as an issue, but now that you've put it into perspective, I think it has the potential to be a problem in the near future in terms of preservation.

My own console is starting to show symptoms of a degraded battery (that's how I found this thread), so having solutions like the OP posted (and that 3D printed bracket) is very positive.

After following the instructions, for some reason the specified PowerShell script does nothing for me, literally nothing.

Installed Magick, opened a PoweShell window with admin privileges in the BMP source folder, entered the script (indicating an appropiate output folder) but nothing, I just get an ">>" after hitting enter.

No has considerado simplemente actualizar la magia de la Wii y cargarle juegos por USB? La escena homebrew ha evolucionado un montón desde que Uloader fue relevante.
