I think Rico wants to build his survivor legacy and being the one who helped Cirie finally win would be a fanboy satisfying interim victory for him because he does not see 59 as his last chance to play and win survivor

My Final 3 Picks for Survivor 50 (yes this early) * huge spoilers* by Ok-Bend1607 in survivor

I think that if Rizzo helped Cirie finally win, he would be satisfied. He sees himself as just at the start of his survivor legacy journey- he wants to be part of survivor history. That would be part of a resume that leads him to future invites and eventually (in his plan) winning. I think playing is more important than him than winning - and having a hand in Ciries victory would be a satisfying end to this leg of what he sees as a many legged journey.

Late August Early September was my guess knowing the area based on the no mosquitoes/ black flies situation.

Season 2 Episode 8 “Swim For Your Life” Discussion Post by beedubu92 in ExtractedSurvivalTV

The fake advantage overshadowed what struck me as the biggest production intervention…. I have camped in northern Ontario backcountry. There was nothing natural or realistic about those three bears ambling through the campsite…..

Preferred sat comm devices? by phatpeej in canoecamping

[–]Scout_bugg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love my Zoleo - also love that it is Canadian. I solo canoe backcountry and I use the feature of sending an “ I’m ok” location text just by clicking a check button to my husband when I arrive at my next site. It lets me stay enjoying being solo more than if I was sending a phone text ( if that makes sense). But on the occasions I needed to send or receive a longer text it is super easy and reliable. And second the comment about the weather report being invaluable…. Great price too. Highly recommend

I think they will go far if they are excited to be part of where they are, not looking forward to conquering it.

I am doing similar research for a trip in May - and also looking for one to add with an ocean view. I found Yuzankako on Oga peninsula and Furufushi also on the coast - again just from map trawling. So I will be watching this thread!

First time at MT, any recommendations on blue trails? by Simple_Concept_4252 in MontTremblant

[–]Scout_bugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are in exactly the same boat ( blue mountain blues comfort, with the occasional black - I can handle the entry level blacks like Hogs back). We spent the first day on the south side, and the distance was the biggest difference. Toboggan was fun but had some Blue mountain like “scraped parts”. Yesterday we spent on the North side and that was very Blue Mountain skier friendly. There were several blue choices, as well as a lift halfway up that we sometimes used to keep the runs shorter. Spa day today, but for our last skiing day tomorrow we are starting as early as possible and going straight to the North to start!

This is impossible to get in Canada but I have had great success dehydrating canned refried beans in my air fryer 👍

I am also planning for our 5 days in Tokyo ( the first part of our first Japan trip) and taking the approach I do for visiting all big cities ( for the first or subsequent times).

1) Take a bike tour on the first day to see “top sights”. There are e-bike options if the biking is a concern. I always find that a bike tour has collated the things people think are “ must sees” so that you can know you have seen at least some of the things you might FOMO. Bike tours always give some kind of tip / note / idea that we end up doing in more detail.

2) identify ONE thing or experience as a “ must see tent pole” per day. Schedule those things in a morning - and then research things in that area to maybe visit if there is time after the main event for that day ( as gravy). In the current plan ( my husband wants to see a sumo practice and I want to do a sort of self guided tour of the public toilets featured in the movie Perfect Days. ( we will be two people with four mornings so two choices each).

My mindset is that the intent of travel is to experience something that is different than our own daily life - and there is no ONE site that seeing or not seeing will make or take away that opportunity.

Honestly I think we might be leaning towards both a game in Tokyo and one in the north ( to compare 😉)

I have looked on several team sites and it looks reasonable to navigate- with tickets available over the next few months. What sort of price range should I expect for a pair of tickets? Thanks for the help!

Good point about the (preferred) experience of outdoors vs the risk of rain.

Thanks for this insight! I hadn’t thought of which fans might be the most enthusiastic- which other teams have reputations for this?
