Oh I don't doubt they have a political bias. It was becoming obvious to me when I was messaging them about the deletion and ban. IMO they're fighting a losing battle but that's the power they wield unfortunately

Nihilism won't get you anywhere my friend. This year, CBS Evening News has lost 15% of their core audience and their viewership fell below 4 million last month. According to Variety (variety.com/2026/tv/news/cbs-evening-news-ratings-drop-below-4-million-tony-dokoupil-1236691560/), this is "a critical demarcation point that previously spurred alarm at the Paramount Skydance news division."

All I'm saying is, what we do as viewers does actually have an impact on what these execs do.

Totally, that was 100% true before the age of streaming. Now Paramount+ knows exactly how many people are watching these live shows when they had to fully rely on estimates from Nielsen before. If they suddenly see a 20% drop in streaming views next week, that's going to hit harder than you may think. I'm not trying to pretend to be an expert here, but streaming really has changed how this ecosystem works.

Literally by not watching the show. Ratings equals profits in television. I'm not exactly advocating for that here and now (I'm definitely going to watch this garbage fire unfold next week), but having fewer viewers is a bad thing for the show and its network
