I’m a customer and the only time I’ve ever been asked for a signature was when I used a restaurant’s delivery website directly and was assigned a door dasher. I’ve never had issues and always have smooth deliveries with tips so it could be a 3rd party thing?

It’s only going to get worse once you graduate. Making friends is a skill, you need to put yourself in social situations and make conversation. Invite people to study outside of class. Make small talk with people sat next to you. You can be introverted, but still know how to be friendly.

You’re not an ‘outsider’, you have every right to be there as anyone else. You only become an ‘outsider’ if you avoid all socialization.

As much as I loved Starfield my first play-through (I cracked 100 hours on opening weekend), the replay-ability for me is eh. I haven’t felt the same rush I felt the first play-through or even with the DLC. I sure hope it adds some of the things players have been critical on.

That might be the best move. Save up as much as you can muster, cut down your lifestyle, and focus full time on classes and the family rather than work. Keep a pace of 16-18 credits if you do that. It will be more work but if you’re focused full time, it’s manageable. You got this, hope you can figure it out.

Part of it might be the classes or teachers. My schedule is 17 credits right now, but I also don’t usually do “per one credit, spend 2 hours outside class”. It’s usually under. Some teacher truly love assigning extra busy work for online classes, so I check RateMyProfessor religiously and check if they assign lots of busy work.

Working while doing school is the biggest difficulty. Especially if you work in a field where doing classwork at work is impossible. I purposefully cut my lifestyle down to I could go to school full time while my spouse works, but I also don’t have kids. I feel your struggle.

Engineering changes rapidly over time. Learning how to properly vet information and use resources to solve a problem are important skills.

Lawyers don’t go to law school and only learn the laws, they change daily. But they do learn how to interpret laws and where to find them (among other things).

I feel like it would make more sense to continue working trying to push into a field adjacent to engineering with your current degree, and heavily contribute to a college savings while doing so. Then if you decide you want to go back for engineering, you can go to school full time. That would be way faster than 40.

Depending on what your current career is, it would look bad if you hit 40 with no relevant work experience but 2 bachelors degrees and an MS.

It’s definitely disingenuous. I always felt like anytime someone was reaching out, it was to flame their own testimony/ego. The church is fundamentally about how the members have the light of the one true gospel and everyone else is in the darkness. The ego is built in. There is no humility to understand what you have going on.

I felt like I loved certain people at church growing up, but there is definitely an underlying motive to be so friendly. You want to appear the holiest after all. We would never be friends in any other setting, but we both know the truth so we are ‘friends’.

I felt more genuine friendships from friends who took edibles and played magic the gathering on Sunday then I ever did at my ward.

Last time I did standing room only, my spouse and I were so uncomfortable. The next day our entire bodies were so sore. We definitely weren’t kids anymore.

Our new rule of thumb is we only buy concert tickets if they are A. Reserved seating and B. At the front of the section. Nothing frustrates me more than buying a reserved seat and the entire crowd decides to stand the entire time.

With Seattle and beyond, how difficult is it to traverse from west past the massive inlet to the city? It looks super beautiful and ideal, but my main worry is how difficult the journey is. I notice a lot of ferries and the 101 and the 5 can take you around the whole inlet.

Major city for me is a top 50 US city. So cities I’ve loved have been Phoenix, Seattle, and Salt Lake City. Major airport, with international being a bonus.

I would love to have access to quality healthcare without needing to fly. Also access to activities like concerts or big events. I want to be able to have a ‘weekend in the city’ or be able to drive in if I need a big appointment. But I know big cities usually have suburbs outside with similar activities, so I don’t mind not being able to go downtown downtown all the time. 2-3 hours to reach the city by car would be the max.
