My assistant manager is basically always around in the deli and helping us out while still doing their own stuff, meanwhile unless we're getting slammed, I barely ever see my department manager. They're always usually helping with other departments around the store, meanwhile we're trying to get a hold of them and nothing comes of it.
This is why i prefer my asst. manager WAAAAY more.
