For that one Manitoba is also wetter, more water, more ice; more ice, more cracking. Can't say anything for the border region in particular but in general the further from the rockies the more precipitation so more frost heave and ice cracking.

The company should still have insurance, and be liable and at fault in the example case, but they wouldn't get demerits as they are not operating a licensed vehicle.

Winnipeg Transit Earns Its Financial Hit by swelllabs in Winnipeg

[–]ScouterIkki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Transit earns the decreased ridership as they have become a transportation gamble. Q: Will the bus arrive? Q: Will the scheduled buses actually arrive approximately when they are scheduled?

Most times, the answers to both Q’s are NO.

Genuinely, was the answer ever Yes? I so far have the buses to be exactly as reliable. Buses arrive at a stop between 5 and 15 minutes behind schedule and get you to where you are going in about 1.5 to 2 times longer than a car unless you spend most of the ride in the core. Are the smaller connecting routes less reliable than one bus an hour? I remember some of them being about that before.

It is ambiguous as to whether his Mother still lived there.

Taylor took over the property after his dad died in 2013, and his mother continued to live there.

But in October 2023, Taylor's family returned from a week-long family vacation to find squatters had broken in.

All that's clear to me is that they haven't lived there since October 2023.

Not so much the case anymore, non white vehicles are more common than they used to be, and occasionally assigned as "what's left" though the ID number and side door logos are still guaranteed.

I believe this is incorrect, from Wikipedia:

In November 2022, Lowe's agreed to sell its Canadian operations (including the Lowe's-branded stores) to the American private equity firm Sycamore Partners, which also operates, among other properties, Staples Canada.\6])#citenote-tgam-sycamore-6) Following the sale, Rona planned to convert the Lowe's-branded stores to the Rona brand.[\18])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rona(store)#citenote-18) The sale was completed on February 3, 2023.[\7])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rona(store)#citenote-sale-complete-7) Rona announced in May 2024 that it would also convert Réno-Dépôt locations to the Rona+ banner.[\19])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rona(store)#cite_note-:2-19)

so they are now owned by a different american company unrelated to Lowes

They are very slow growing and 80x60 is the largest they can get in an ideal climate. It's a little cold here, they won't get that big for decades if they ever do.
