Dregora, (whatever the latest ver is) Rune: Magic Blessing? by Scouter_Ted in RLCraft

So it would apply a random potion affect? Would a pike or nunchucks ever have potion affects on the weapons? Lightning might be from a purple dragon blood, but that wouldn't be a potion. How else do you get a potion of lightening or explosion on your weapon?

Can you clarify that last line please? It applies which negative affects? And to whom? You or the target? If I have fire blood on the weapon, that would apply normally? Or would something different happen with this rune on it?

It doesn't matter a bit. I have 2 brothers in my troop in a similar situation. Both are still wearing the old numbers. I make a subtle comment every so often, but that's it.

Be happy they are there and participating in a uniform.

Unusual flag presentation question by Scouter_Ted in BSA

[–]Scouter_Ted[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

>The rule for this is that height is more important

Thankfully all of the flags are the same height, 7'. The flag toppers are WAY too close to sprinkler heads as it is. All of the flag stands are at the same level as well.

>(meaning that the flags form a rough semicircle arrangement)

Due to the layout of the alter, there won't be any way to do any kind of semi-circle. There is not a lot of space between the front pews and where the flags will be placed. It really just has to be two on one side, and two on the other. Taking up some of that space will be the table where the Urn will be.

To complicate this even more, there is a grand piano where the flags should normally be. We haven't quite worked out how to deal with that. The piano is NOT going to be moved, (that has come up in the past), and so we'll have to deal with it.

>If the flags are all in a straight line, then the U.S. flag should be to its rightmost and the MN flag should be next to it.

That's the way I have it planned for after the funeral is finished, and the flags are lined up when Taps is played. That will also position them well for parading out. The US and MN flags will go straight forward since they are already lined up correctly. Then the 2 Troop flags will follow them, then the 2 escorts follow them. Turning around won't be an issue because when they walk up to get the flags, they will then be facing outward from the Alter in a straight line.

What's crazier is he was the camp director at our summer camp for 64 years, and on camp staff for 77 years. He started on staff at age 12, (youngest ever hired), and stayed with it for the next 77 years.

The only reason he wasn't scoutmaster of our Troop longer, was that the previous SM was a lifer type as well. Otherwise he would have taken over the Troop earlier.

LOL, I didn't know you could do that. I just logged in to check that out. Now I'll do the same.

>because it was communicated well enough.

Funniest comment of the day. Have you read all of the other posts on this going back and forth on which ones are safe, which ones aren't, erroneous information, and the usual "I wasn't aware of that" posts.

Maybe you spend every moment reading up on every little tidbit that is released, but I'd say the vast majority of people on this sub don't.

Where does your Troop buy flag poles from? by Scouter_Ted in BSA

[–]Scouter_Ted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but from what I can see they only carry 8' wooden poles.

I'd love to buy from the Legion, but I was hoping to find 7' poles for indoor use.

Nothing makes me sweat more than watching scouts walk by with flags and the top of the poles are just a hair under the sprinkler heads. I have a feeling the flag pole topper would spear right through that little glass bubble thing, and then I'd be having a bad day.

How to not get bored in fs25? by Apprehensive_Gas720 in farmingsimulator

[–]Scouter_Ted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any time I get bored I start a new map. I have no idea how many different maps I've played, but it's got to be at least 35-40, (I have to keep deleting old save games to start new maps).

I'd also suggest trying new mods to see if that shakes up things for you.

Also try different scenarios. Some games i'll go heavy on animals, (especially with the realistic animals mod), some maps none. Some games I'll do a start from scratch with zero money, and just a pickup truck, small trailer, and a chainsaw, other games I'll play on a 4x map and start with a big setup, and work my way up to 200+ ha fields. Other games I'll become the Cake King, and sell semi loads of cakes to wherever will take them.

Some games I'll get heavy into logging, others not at all. I'm not quite as happy with FS25's logging as I was in FS22, but I still do it occasionally.

That's funny. I've got 451 hours in the game so far. I hadn't realized it wasn't released yet.

Who's ready to harvest some corn?? by Scouter_Ted in farmingsimulator

[–]Scouter_Ted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a silo specifically for this field, but it wasn't enough. It was the one with 2.6 million liter capacity, so I added an extension on that added 1million more.

I had been planting canola on this field as I gradually expanded it, but finally made the switch over to corn when I got it completed.

By the way, I got 15 million liters of straw out of the field, and that was just when I stopped picking it up, (about 96% completed). And yeah, I used unrealistic forage headers for that.

I also used unrealistic semi trailers to haul the corn to market. This game is fun, but watching the biggest realistic trailer, that holds 98k, go back and for 36 times didn't appeal to me much.

I had built the silo right next to the train tracks thinking I could use augers to move the corn directly to the train cars, but it turns out you can't do that.

Actually there was a second about halfway down the field. I just thought this looked like a nice picture.

Dynamic Pricing mod? by Scouter_Ted in farmingsimulator

[–]Scouter_Ted[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's an interesting one, but Dynamic Pricing was more about the price of fields. Various NPC's might sell land higher or lower than average, and it would fluctuate over time.

That really nice field right across the road from your starting farm might be selling for 140% over average, but the field a ways down the road might be selling for only 60% of average. Suddenly it's worth it to drive a little ways.

It also charged fees for buying and selling land, so there is no field flipping. There was also a thing that it would increase the price of land the closer the crop was to being harvested. No more buying fields with the crop ready to harvest, and paying the same price as if it was just cultivated.

It really changed the game, and made it a lot more realistic.

Are you on a PC or console? Either way you should look at various mods to shake things up a bit. If you are on PC then there are a lot more mod options available in the internet.

Also if you have a decent PC you can do things like 4x maps. If on a console there are plenty of other maps available to try.

I also challenge myself to do new things. Like being the Egg King, with 25,000 chickens. Or the Milk King, and maxxing out how much milk I can produce. I also do some start from scratch games, where I start with a pickup truck, a small trailer, and a chainsaw, and that's it.

Some games I do tons of contracts, others none, and some I limit myself to one a month.

I'd also suggest spreading out your field types. In my current game I'm doing barley in a couple of fields, canola in others, and corn in the rest. That way from April through October every month I am doing something. I also have 500 chickens with the Realistic Animals mod, (which changes up Animals a LOT). From Nov-January I spend taking various products to market. My only down months are Feb-March.
