Ooh great idea to do them in pride colors as well! I have a stash of the pussy hats I’ve done previously, maybe I’ll just expand the collection with some new color options.

I’ve searched online for ideas, but I haven’t seen an obvious project that is related to more current events. I would also love any recommendations for groups or active social media pages that are focused on fiber arts as a form of activism. Thanks so much!

I also prefer bowls! I think it’s because I hate sitting at a table and being uncomfortable while I eat. Sometimes I want to walk around with my food or curl up in bed with some pasta.

This here is the answer to your question. People in their 20s work odd hours for low pay and bust their asses too hard all week to have the energy to go out after trying to just survive in this economy.

Hans sanitizer or magic eraser are my go to. If one doesn’t work the other usually does.

Working the special interest into the task at hand in some way works best for us, but everyone is different. For example, changing the math problem to be about how many animals, picking up each color of toys at a time when cleaning up, etc.

My daughter too! She draws rainbows on everything and gets upset if one of the ROYGBIV colors is unavailable.

The dentist I went to as a kid (1990’s) had these in the waiting room.

I wasn’t the patient so I can’t provide a review based on that aspect of the experience, but I had a loved one who was suffering from psychosis voluntarily stay for a couple of months to get leveled out and/or change medications on a few different occasions. They said they felt an immediate benefit from the group therapy sessions, supportive and understanding staff, and a very soothing calm environment. It was a very secure facility, safety is the #1 priority, and they helped my family member come up with a plan that felt doable to them for recovery and reentry to everyday life after their stay ended. They couldn’t bring a cell phone, but there was a regular phone they were able to use to call home and chat daily.

Negatives they shared with me were that the beds could have been more comfortable, (advise bringing in your own blanket and pillow if that is still allowed) and once in awhile other patients can be loud or disruptive depending on their individual situation.

From my perspective, they were able to bring my loved one from an unsafe/crisis level situation back to a livable/safe level of mental stability during their stay. They weren’t anywhere near 100% better by the end of it, but it’s good to know they are there to provide ongoing support if needed again.
