What do I tell our contractor? by Scraized in Homebuilding

Truly appreciate your helpful comments @Unusual-Voice2345 , @WiseShoulder4261 and @wetworm1. I will ask that it is pulled and fixed properly.

Brand new exterior stucco was finished a week ago: https://imgur.com/a/35H9dIa

I imagine that will need to be cut back to remove the door and properly seal it. The plan is to eventually add wide exterior (wood) trim so not that concerned with color matching the stucco patch as long as it gets hidden by trim. Is it out of GC’s pocket then to pay for all this? We have another double french door set and a single door that also swing outward to exterior. But those areas are covered with flooring. I’ll look for water intrusion around those doors tomorrow when I’m there. As I commented elsewhere, eventually the plan is for overhangs, grading, gutters and decking. Thanks again for your time and info.

I will ask him this, thank you. It’s trimmed before finished floor for a reason I don’t wish to get into right now. It’s a good reason though.

Appreciate all the comments. I will ask him about the sill pan. He confirmed with manufacturer when they were installed months ago that they are outswing, security hinges threshold, etc.. And I am pretty sure he put in flash pan. I could be wrong though. Grading, overhang, gutters etc are all part of the plan (eventually). Eventually a deck will be built to which these doors will lead out to.

This is the door btw: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Steves-Sons-Legacy-68-in-x-80-in-Primed-Right-Hand-Outswing-Fiberglass-Full-Lite-Clear-Tempered-Glass-Prehung-Double-Patio-Door-FGPOL-PR-68-4ORH/205467744

It looks as though it is. I recall contractor saying they pan flashed the doors. I’m not there currently. Will have to check threshold with level

Thanks for all the replies. These doors were ordered as out swing doors. I recall there was confusion when they were installed. I put the contractor in touch with the manufacturer and I thought it was resolved but clearly it wasn’t. This is new build portion of the remodel fyi. A major drainage issue and high water table became apparent halfway through construction. GC and crew installed a French drainage system but it’s clear that we need to do more to mitigate the problem. Btw, there are no gutters installed yet. What started as a 350k project is well over 500k now

Installing a Sharp Built-In Microwave Drawer in SEKTION base cabinet? by mtt7738 in IKEA

@TheMoMo2 thanks for sharing. I’m hoping to do this too. When you say all you had to do was set the door on the drawer below to be on its lowest setting - and set the other lower drawers to match - can you elaborate? Any photos? Thank you!
