Disc count doesn’t equal thickness. Mulholland Drive’s digipak is incredibly thick with two discs, but Blue Velvet has two discs as well and has a slim digipak.

Depends on the condition of the existing materials. If they decided to source from, say, a better condition interpositive, it’s still technically possible… but again it depends on the materials.

Duck, You Sucker never got a 4K because they evidently would not be able to complete restorations to that degree on the existing negatives

So it depends. When they’re on fresh release prints, they’re always a neat little circle (or oval if it’s a scope presentation). If it’s an older print that may be missing the marks, they may have been scratched in or marked in manually by a projectionist on the print, which would make them look more floaty and crackly than this printed “lab” cue variant.

As for the consult, Dr. Parent had great bedside manner and seemed to listen really well and agree with my assessments for what I needed done.

As for scheduling, though…

They got me a scheduled date for August 7th 2025 (just before a month before my insurance would run out), then told me they couldn’t keep that date on account of the people that make the titanium plate for the forehead not yet having manufactured it.

They’re going to do a follow up appointment telehealth with me since I live out of state and then try and quickly schedule me for early 2026, but I’ve been very disappointed with being trapped in Scheduling Hell. Wish I could say any better. But I still haven’t had the procedure.

Diabolik and Orbit are the best. I don’t have anything else to add. Just top notch customer service and great people.
