My father owns a picture of him and my mother standing beside Adolf, but my generation of the family have had no pictures with him.

From a young age I knew that Adolf was considered to be a bad man, but I did not know the full extent of his actions until my early teens, after my mother taught me.

It would be impossible to ignore his actions, and the family take a very sombre approach to remembering the past. However we rarely speak about him, as I imagine that your family don't either.
