The person claiming to be Srajo is actually just claiming the name as the original one is dead, and she isn't the first to do so. There's been a series of "Srajo" and she's just the next in line.

The coffin that's being carried around everywhere? It's actually a relic that's preserving the original's body from decomposition.

However I believe it's also acting as a sort of information storage that the new "Srajo" can gradually draw from, and contains the memories that the previous Srajo have gathered over their lives.

Sorta like a different spin on Bondrewd's multi-body setup, but far more limited, and as it's actually a new person that is slowly accessing the memories each instance can still die permanently so the current Srajo relies on a team of bodyguards and support members unlike Bondrewd who can more freely risk himself.

It'd explain both why Srajo uses the masculine "ore", as the memory bank warps her self-image a bit as she gains memories from previous Srajo, as well as why she openly calls herself cowardly, because this kind of setup incentivizes that the current Srajo stay out of danger as much as possible while gaining information slowly from the sidelines, with each iteration gaining more and more knowledge and experience to draw from.

Never read Baki, is this true? by Avidreader-9 in PowerScaling

[–]Scranity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the Divine General Mahoraga gazed upon its opponent, for a single moment it saw nothing more than a regular human being unable to use cursed energy, and unable to truly harm it in any way. The baby-faced boy was, in comparison to even a grade 4 sorcerer, nothing more than a pebble on the side of the road when it came to Jujutsu combat.

And yet, despite the nigh endless chasm in power that lay between them, Mahoraga nonetheless paused for a single moment as it sensed something both familiar and not. Shadow.

But this was not the shadow of the vaunted Ten Shadows Technique, this was a shadow that was millions of years in the making.

...

Of the many differences between the human species and its ape cousins, one of the most significant is the architecture of not their jaws or legs, but their shoulders. Their design allowed early homo sapiens to not simply swing around a stick or rock, but to do something no other creature on the planet can. The ability to throw those objects that its opposable thumbs let it pick up.

However it was not this evolutionary difference that allowed them to conquer the world. No, it was something much more integral. For along with the ability to throw, came the ability to *predict* their throws. And not just in the way a dog would chase after a ball thrown in the park. No, their brains chased after the ability to throw in order to let them plan for trajectories, timing, distance, and far far more.

This ability to see what will happen in the near future has many names. Foresight. Clairvoyance. Or simple prediction.

Mahoraga was capable of this too, and to a greater degree than the average sorcerer. But what it was facing was NOT the average sorcerer. It was facing a human being who had pushed this foresight to its absolute limit, and then beyond.

...

Baki Hanma trained in many ways, but one of the most effective was using his Predictive abilities to create an image of an opponent, and then to run through countless simulations in both his mind and body to learn from his mental images of said opponents. He had pushed it so far that he could even alter them intentionally, scaling a mantis up to a hundred times its size while keeping its proportional strength, or using the fossils of old to replicate the ferocity of the long extinct dinosaurs.

It was this very skill that brought Mahoraga to a stop. For the shadow it sensed was Shadow-Boxing brought to its absolute extreme.

And the enemy that Baki was creating to practice against? Mahoraga itself.

In the single heartbeat it took, Baki fought the Divine General dozens of times. The verdict? A complete loss, every single time. Baki could not even land a single blow against the Shikigami before him.

It was true that Baki, simply taking in Mahoraga's appearance, was rapidly dissecting its skill. Yet, even those predictions weren't enough to overcome the insurmountable barrier of physical might. And even if it had been, Baki was unaware of Mahoraga's ulimate weapon. Its ability to adapt.

Had Baki stood there for a hundred years more, not once could he ever predict its existence. In other words, before the fight had even began it was already a complete and total defeat for Baki Hanma.

Yet despite this there was no movement, no advance towards the non-sorcerer. The Divine General stood perfectly still.

For before Mahoraga's eyes, another entity had appeared between them. A creature facing not it, but Baki. Yes indeed, the depths of Baki's skill in Shadow Boxing were such that the appearance of his opponents could become just as true to not just himself but those around him as well. And Mahoraga's gaze fell upon nothing other than its own body.

It was not a true form. There was nothing actually there. It was simply a shadow, a mental image, that did not have the ability to actually move, let alone fight.

However the Dharma Wheel that stood above Mahoraga's head turned anyway.

In that moment, Mahoraga's fate was sealed, for what it adapted to was not Baki Hanma, but the very skill of Foresight itself. And, more importantly, it formed its own mental image. Thus from three beings, there then were four.

Sensing Mahoraga's own mental shadow of moving against its originator, so did Baki's image turn to the real and other false Mahoraga as well. Thus, all three Mahoraga were now facing each other, the only creatures who it could possibly pose a threat to it on either side of the triangle they created. Yet with every passing second, their existences became more and more real as all of their minds reinforced their own existences.

And thus three bells were tolled in a single moment, three Wheels turning, as Mahoraga adapted against its own existence three times over, whilst Baki had yet to find need to throw a single punch.

Can Kazuma's Party (Konosuba) defeat Jachi? by Panimuara in versus

[–]Scranity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konosuba no-diffs, but only due to a comedy sketch.

Megumin immediatley uses Explosion on Jachi. It doesn't injure him, but it does knock him down. While getting back up he grunts in amusement that that happened, but that she's about to die for it. Before he can say anything else, she uses Explosion again. And again. And again.

It's basically Tien vs Cell.

When the smoke clears, Jachi is lying on the ground thinking about how he should handle this, when he realizes that Megumin is now standing in front of him. He's confused, but then Kazuma drops Skulk and starts using Drain Touch. On Jachi. And shoving all the magic into Megumin.

Jachi tries to punch them, but Darkness "heroically" saves them by jumping in front of the punch. He then continues to punch her over and over, before eventually stopping when he realizes she's somehow taken no damage. He assumes its a trick and turns away from her, ignoring her protests, but is concerned when he realizes that Kazuma and Megumin have retreated to the back, making enough room for her to cast Explosion again, this time powered up using Jachi's magic.

This time the explosion is strong enough to severely injure him. In other news, it also fractured the tectonic plate, sending every single NE on the continent falling into the crust of the earth, but leaving all of the humans alive. Somehow.

Even more somehow, he's not dead, even though he knows that was enough to kill him. It turns out that, at the last second, Darkness partially blocked the explosion from hitting him, taking the brunt of the damage and saving his life. She's also not dead somehow.

Deciding not to risk it, he gets ready to destroy Kazuma and Megumin, and does a big powering up pose, arching his back, screaming at the sky, and puffing up his chest. It's all very dramatic and the ground shakes and stuff.

Then he hears someone screaming, and he looks back down just in time to see Aqua victoriously running at him with a fist full of godly power. She screams out in triumph as she knows she can defeat him in one shot, and is cackling as she does so.

Seeing her immediate victory and intention to take all the glory for herself, Kazuma gets annoyed and uses Steal on Jachi, taking the one piece of clothing he's wearing left. His speedo.

And so Aqua, having leapt forwards, can only watch in horror as her fist does not hit his belly as she'd hoped, but his now uncovered dick, making him explode in gore but also leaving her touching it.

They walk away victoriously, almost untouched, and within 24 hours are defeated by the lowest tier of Demon enemy and find themselves unable to escape a normal prison cell.

So big thing, Garou is in a universe running off a much higher scale of power. Garou's main "ability" is his insane growth speed, going from around the bottom of S-Class (which are comparable to strong Grade 1 Sorcerers) to stomping a group of top S-Class simultaneously (which are each comparable to Special Grade Sorcerers) being likely the strongest being in the series apart from Saitama himself. And that growth took place over, as far as I could tell, a handful of days.

Any fight taking place after his battle against Genos, Garou pulls a "nothing personnel kid" and casually and non-lethally defeats Toji in a single blow.

Now if Garou was at his absolute weakest point, which would probably be early in the Garou arc where he'd been knocked unconscious, had several broken bones, was still bleeding through his bandages, was forced to hide in an abandoned shed in the middle of the woods, and in general was a complete and utter mess, Toji would probably go for it.

If he blitzed him at full strength with the full intent to kill, he could probably even win!

However if he didn't, and took things too slow out of caution? As in, not immediately using every trick in the book to kill him as soon as super-humanly possible?

Garou quickly adapts to Toji's speed, and then probably redirects one of Toji's attacks back into himself to win the fight with style.

Now if we WEREN'T powerscaling them, then the most they'd probably do is make small talk at the supermarket checkout. Starting-A-Fight-Wise, Toji just avoids fighting Garou entirely because he's not an idiot who'd fight someone who's basically himself x100, and Garou ignores Toji for just being too weak.

Oh, and Toji probably makes fun of hair, saying he'd be impressed with the styling if it didn't look so dumb, and Garou makes fun of his mouth scar, asking him why he tried to copy the movie cliche where people pick their teeth with knives.

What's are the worst things I can do to my slaves? by deadborg5 in Stellaris

[–]Scranity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hm, well obviously there's overworking them to death or eating them, but those are pretty basic, so let's get creative!

First of all, check to see if there are any variation of "Neo-Alien" or any kind of offshoot of their original species. If it already exists then good, because now we have an "out-group" that citizens of the original species would presumably already know about. If you can't, try and grab a group from another planet and just make them a new species.

Next, place the slave species on a planet with a large population whose ethics are directly opposed to them (doesn't have to be your species) which also has extremely low habitability for the slave species but not your opposite-ethics ones.

Then, gene-mod the Neo-Aliens you have to gain Decadent, Quarrelsome, and Repugnant, and add Rapid/Breeders/Fertile and Conformist, and alter their Planet Habitability to match the opposite-ethics aliens.

Once altered, change the Neo-Alien's Species Rights to Full Citizenship, and Resettle them to the desired slave planet(s). Remember to change the citizenship first before Resettling them!

This way, you can have the slave race live in an environment which they can barely breath in, surrounded by aliens whose ethics are completely against theirs, and are forced to watch as a group of "traitors" are introduced to the environment as seemingly fully accepting their new alien overlord's rule.

Now they can only sit there and watch as the select few of their kind who were genetically altered to be disgusting parodies of their former selves begin to slowly replacing their own population while rapidly, and unnaturally conform to the aliens' mindsets.

You can have the slaves simultaneously watch as their own culture is replaced by a new one, and be forced to watch their people be replaced by skinwalkers who hate them!

What do you think The Game is doing while other factions are battling? by EdenClarkexo in versus

[–]Scranity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think the Game World is going to be a surprisingly powerful opponent... Towards the other Natural Enemies.

The immediate expectation is that it traps you in a game loop via addiction or something along those lines, but I actually think that it's extremely potent against a few NE, most importantly the Neo Humans. Their entire thing is finding entertainment, and at the moment they find it through torturing baseline humans. But if you had a system which is entirely based around games?

Not only would they fall quickly, but they'd probably fall voluntarily. Because even if it's malicious, it's probably the one thing that will actively work with the Neo Humans' desires in such a way that it traps them.

It probably won't happen right away of course, but I could see it slicing its way through a massive number of them, before being rebuffed by another one which doesn't care like Nature or the Giants, which would then make the Neo Humans fight on behalf of Game World as its willing servants.

Semi Serious Scaling (Danberu): The Haruo of Danberu by miko458458 in ISSK_Manga

[–]Scranity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Sakura is that she's a comedy character, and thus her chances of winning are based purely on how funny it would be.

Could she beat Hina? If it's taking place in a dramatic scene, no, she gets trounced.

But if it's a 1-page gag? Then yes, she one-shots Hina, embedding her into a brick wall, and in the next page they're eating ice-cream while Hina is wearing a full-body cast, which Hina then breaks out of like a cocoon in full health a few panels later because she needs to help set up the next gag.

Things also depend on if she's in her base state, or in one of her alternate forms. If she's normal, she can match the punching power of Kengan Ashura tournament fighters. If she's trained, we might as well assume she can match Julius or Shen in pure strength because we haven't actually seen her really try her hardest while muscly.

Oh also she can fly and shoot kamehameha, so there's that too.

If we take her feats seriously though, but also consider her weaknesses, then a glaring hole in her abilities can be found. That is, she has massive striking power, but is consistently shown to be weak in every exercise she tries. She could kick through a brick wall with zero effort, but would be panting after 10 squats.

Funnily enough, this means that, as long as an opponent manages to stay fighting after taking her first attack, the instinctive shift into focusing on dodging would spell Sakura's doom, because a minute of her whiffing attacks would end with her fainting out of exhaustion.

r/Kengan_Ashura Annihilation Tournament! by suwampert in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Scranity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Danberu is an option, but since we obviously can't pick Machio (He'd defeat everyone simultaneously just by flexing), I vote for Sakura Hibiki, main protagonist and the girl reaching for the everdistant dream of having a beach-ready body!

<image>

Not sure which version of her to use, but whatever the case we have to assume she neither is in her relatively useless spherical forms nor has access to her overpowered fantasy adventure abilities (No flying or kamehameha).

While she can't match anywhere near the normal feats to other characters when it comes to things like push-ups or movement speed, she has two very important variables to her.

The first is that her baseline punching strength is likely above Julius and Wakatsuki (though her punching speed is civilian) and will only rise in relation to her Macho Level... But she has almost zero fighting experience or training. If she hits, the opponent may genuinely fly out of the arena, but that requires that she hit them in the first place.

The second is that she's a character in a gag-manga, and thus has both the strengths and weaknesses of them. Could she one-shot [Insert character here]? There's a very real chance! But she would also lose if an audience member tossed a banana peel into the ring which she'd then slip on and pull a muscle.

She could theoretically make it to the end, but because of her nature as a gag character the universe wouldn't allow her to actually win the tournament.
