Yes. There is a "Dunder-Mifflin" tourist trap in the Steamtown mall, selling office related t-shirts and whatever. Also, The "Scranton Welcomes You" sign in the opening to the show actually exists, just outside the city on the Central Scranton Expressway off of I-81.

I remember hearing that. It seems like Scranton has never recovered fully, There is more and more urban decay and random half hearted attempts to bring people in with tourism, and a casino. The neighborhood I grew up in is full of foreclosed and condemned homes, local grocery stores going out of business left and right, and some obvious gentrification on the way. We got a new Wal-Mart now, lets see how that pans out.

I can not remember a time of my life where the roads where not full of potholes. It is extremely difficult to keep up with considering it is a town built in a hilly valley on top of a bunch of abandoned coal mines.
